Thread: House structural engineer?

  1. #1

    Default House structural engineer?

Going to replace our central HVAC unit in the next year or so, but need to get our house level first. I'd like to get an independent structural engineer out here before I contact any levelling companies, and I thought there was a thread on here years ago that mentioned some, and I thought I had written a name down (Tommy something?), but can't really find the thread or post-it. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks...

I have used Metro Engineering, LLC. I didn't have any issues with them. I guess I really don't have anything to compare it to in order to say how good they are.

Thanks to both of you, but it seems like Metro doesn't have a web presence - is this them?

I believe so. That address and phone number are consistent with the report I have from them.
The guy's name is Gary McCracken.

Had him out today and he did a fantastic job! Explained everything, including how weird our stem walls were aligned underneath the house, etc. Was here for probably 90 minutes, very thorough, well worth the $600 (we have a crawlspace, might be less for a slab since there's less messiness involved).
