Thomas Drive Reroute

Heard last week that Edmond Schools/City of Edmond have bought the land adjacent to the North HS east parking lot, both north and south, and will be re-routing Thomas Drive to allow the parking lot to extend over what is now Thomas Drive. They will reroute Thomas drive around the backside of the east parking lot, close to where the new water tower is proposed to go. Seems really odd to me, but the person seemed confident in their information.

Didn't know where else to put this but didn't think it needed a new thread...but what is going on at the corner of Thomas on the Edmond North grounds? They have put up silt fence and there was some dirt work done.

One of the main reasons for doing this project is so students do not have to cross the road to get to the school. Basically right north of Danforth, the road will 'curve' closer to the cemetery to the east, around the water tower and parking lots, and then go in a more straight northerly direction past Edmond north between John Ross and the high school.
