I thought we could have a poll on this website and vote to have an OKC Talker of the Year. A person whom has contributed the most and really been involved. It's kind of corny I guess, but I think it might be kind of neat. Does anyone else like this idea or nay?

I don't think we should have popularity contests on here. It creates divisions and points of conflicts. ("Why did he get it and not me?", "I got the award last year why did you delete my post, Pete", etc.)

If we must have the award, OKCTalker of the Year award goes to Pete for his outstanding dedication to this site and city and all of the research he does for us.

I think the post "likes" is as far as it really should go. Those a nice little kuddos on making a quality post. An outright vote would just be a popularity thing and really wouldn't do much.
