Thread: Anyone know of any gas stations with 93 octane?

Default Anyone know of any gas stations with 93 octane?

And not the Shell on 63rd and Western that wants $5 a gallon for it. Thanks!

That's the only one I know of. Seems 93 octane went the way of full-service gas stations. I did fill my motorcycle with that 101 octane once, didn't notice much of a difference.

There used to be several places, mostly Sinclairs that had it. I guess they are all just going away.

what would you need 93 octane for anyway?

My car loves it. Around here she gets a steady diet of 91, as recommended, but in the southeastern states, where 93 is fairly common as a premium grade, that's what she gets to drink, and she responds with even better fuel economy - occasionally over 30 mpg, which is not bad for a 3400-lb sedan with a big honking V-6 and the A/C cranked up to Arctic.

Curious about the price, so I swung by Shell tonight. $4.699/gallon. That sounds bad until I put it into context. My "house wine" runs around $75.00/gallon.

Correct me if I'm wrong to think this, but $4.69 sounds absurd for 93 octane gas. I wouldn't think that 93 octane would sell for *that* much over regular 91 premium, even when we're talking about non-ethanol gas sold at a full-service station! I would expect that price (or higher) for 100+ octane racing fuel (which I think the Avondale station sells too) but not 93.

Have you tried the Conoco station at May & Hefner? IIRC they're full-service too and might happen to have stuff that other stations don't have.

I think that station used to (in addition to 100-octane and such) but it's now an E-Express station that only has regular gas.

My new Camaro loves it. I've filled it up at the station on Western, and you can tell a difference in the gas mileage. When I got the V8, I know that I wasn't buying a car for mileage, but every little bit helps.

Yeah, it's way overpriced. Usually its the same increase as from 89 to 91. Its absolutely insane to sell it for that much.

That's right by my office! I'll run by and check today.

I am also looking for 93. I have a high performance car that needs it.

So far this is what I know of:
    Shell at 63rd & Western
Shell in Midwest City (do you know where it is?)
    Shell at SW 104th & I-44

Has anyone seen any other stations with 93? (100% Gas)
