    Big Ed's Hamburgers
    12209 N Pennsylvania Ave
    OKC

    500 W. Main St.
    Oklahoma City, OK

    524 NW 10th Street

I located 3 addresses, not sure if any are still there..........

This family-run burger chain was founded in the early '80s when its first location opened in a former drugstore in Springlake Shopping Center (63rd and Meridian). The place was a hit, so more restaurants followed in locations throughout the OKC/Norman area. Burgers are prepared the old- fashioned way: on a grill, with onions, lettuce, mustard and cheese, or just the way you like it. And the burgers are as big as the name suggests. In fact, the namesake burger is as big as a small pizza.

I've always been told there is a good "old burger joint" in Shawnee that has been there for years. I think it is called Brown Derby or something like that. Perhaps one day I might get out that way and give it a try!
