Yes
HELL YES
I love the Orange Jerseys!.. need to snag one
Howard sat out last nights game vs the Heat.
Can we get some glue to put on their hands so they can HOLD ON TO THE *&^%$ BALL? Please?
Learning experience. Team needed to come back down to Earth. There are a lot of things that need to be fixed and worked on. The Thunder are still trying to figure out where everything fits. 3-1 is good, but this team is only a few bounces away from being 1-3.
25 turnovers; ugly second half. Had 65 pts at half and only mustered 14 in 3rd. Bad spot on road in a back to back. Surprised BD didn't take timeout after the RW miss before KD forced up his shot.
One thing I have noticed this year so far - Thunder MUCH more efficient out of time-outs and on offensive end inbounds plays.
Donavon sure does like Singler.
^Maybe it's the groovy haircut?
Rockets were thirsty, Thunder was feeling good and then got in foul trouble and had way too many turnovers. And we only lost by 5. I will take that.
Meanwhile the GSW (Curry) are completely dismantling the league right now.
Can't blow 11-point road leads like that. Third quarter fades aren't exactly new, either.
It's a nice position to be in - 3-1 with plenty to work on
How about home leads? Wow that was an ugly finish. No FG's in last 513 and we had no answer on D down the stretch. Way too many fouls and probably shouldn't discount Rex K on the Toronto bench - defensive guru who knows OKC inside out. Still bad loss. No other way to spin it.
I realize its only five games in, but man, this "shakedown cruise" with Donovan is off to a rough start. No reason we shouldn't be 5-0 right now.
Same old Thunder. I'm afraid not much has changed.
And this is where I stop checking this thread. Same old thunder? SMH
It's a marathon, not a sprint. It's how they play at the end of the year that's the most important.
Too physical and the refs weren't calling it our way. Instead of finding a new way to score, we kept trying to get calls.
Sometimes I wonder if flopping makes the refs more reluctant to blow a whistle for that same player. Russ is my favorite player, but those two poor flops near the end - may be the reason he got no love on those final drives.
Anthony Morrow needs to get back out there, he brings huge energy. Looking @ stat sheet, I would say we won that game - everyone contributed nicely. Just too physical on D and gave them an insane amount of FTs.
Should be another close one in Chicago tonight. Looking forward to seeing how this team continues to grow.
I think by Christmas, we should be well-oiled. Anyone who thought we could come in with new pieces playing together and be a 70W team is fooling themselves.
It's not just AP (and his posts are usually quality points). I agree with him. It's 5 games into the season and the 2 games they lost, they had a lead late. Yeah, they let it slip, but it's waaaaayy too early to say "same old Thunder." What I've seen so far is promising; just because they let 2 slip away doesn't mean it's time to freak out about the "same old Thunder."
There are a LOT of NBA teams that would take the "same ol Thunder" and be really happy! Came within a game of making playoffs last year during a disaster of a season. Made an NBA final and would have made another but for Patrick Beverly. There is a reason the Thunder is ranked #7 overall by ESPN out of all the profession sports franchises (not just NBA). Anyway, I think it is fun to discuss the games and what occurs game in and game out.
Last night was all about not making a shot in the fiinal 513 and sending the Raptors to the line 39 times (32 makes) compared to our 12. Anyone notice the 3rd quarter Russ had...incredible/off the charts. Too bad to waste that but it happens.
Should be a fun game tonight with Sir Charles on the TNT game broadcast from Chicago!
Great game, but Rose went god mode at the end. Horrible defense against him down the stretch, we will improve.
On to the next!
