How are the rental clubs there? I don't think I want to be "that guy" that lugs his entire bag up there, but I thought about bringing maybe 3 of my own clubs up there. What clubs do you really need if you bring your own? Leaning towards just using their's though.

^They are OK - they say Top Golf but think they may be Calllaway. I'd just use theirs if it is your first time and see how it goes. I mostly hit 7 iron, 9 iron but a few times used the hybrid and 3 wood. We played the basic Top Golf game the first time but then the second time played one called "Pitch shot" or something like that and i enjoyed it more as you had a specific target you were trying to hit.

I had posted a a negative review about service but went last week again during the week and it went pretty well. Spent about 30 mins in the bar area and then was taken to the bay and service in the bay was very good. Had fun!

I went on Saturday night as well. I know I have been pretty hard on them so far, but was pleasantly surprised by the service and overall experience. It seemed less chaotic and and more structured. Glad to see that they have seemed to turn the corner.

We were there and chose to leave Saturday. At 6 PM they said a 6 hour wait, the gentleman driving the cart even yelled at us on the way in that the wait was over 5 hours (almost deterring which was weird). Reason being they shut down level one entirely due to being short staffed. I have to give them credit though for doing that, some places would have tried to make it work. This way probably ensured those that played had better service from everyone!

We ended up at Fassler Hall and had a great time though! I love Top Golf, always have. I know they face challenges with how many team members they need and I hope it does work out for them in the end.

No more bringing in your own drivers. That plus the short stubby tees and it's not very much fun anymore. It's a glorified driving range that you have to their metal stick of a club to attempt to drive the ball.

Apparently they had some people hitting the ball out of the range. I'm not sure why not just track the ball, figure out who did it, and fine the player or kick them out.

I've been twice in three weekends now and I own no clubs and love it!

It's not really a driving range for fixing swing issues or real practice. It's for games and entertainment with friends. I see no issue with limiting clubs if they've had problems.

Agreed. Not really that fun if you just hit it at the back every time

No doubt people are showing up with those massive drivers and intentionally trying to hit it over the nets.

Which isn't that impressive, it's maybe 230-240 to the fence, so make a 275yrd drive to clear it.

Well according to the staff it was happening mostly on the top right third floor and people were slicing their drives to the south, not over the back towards western.

Like everyone else is saying, it's a pretty short range and if you have any swing at all you could hit the back net every time, even with their crappy drivers. I find a it a lot more fun to play the games.

I had them tell me I couldn't bring my 7 Wood (I hit it about 180) in the other night but after I said "Just look at my game history. I'm not taking a 7 Wood over the fence." they let me bring it in.... But I did see some jacka$$es intentionally trying to take shots over the fence with the house drivers the other night.... If I was management they would get a warning on the first offense and banned on the second... They can track the microchipped ball to the account holder. Whether the account holder hit the ball or not they are responsible for the account.

And if you are going to Top Golf for any reason other than to have a good time you have way too much extra cash on your hands... If I need to fix my swing I'm going to a driving range where I can get two range tokens for $5 and can wear my spikes... Not where it costs me $40 an hour and I may be hitting from an elevated platform.

It looked worse this morning. I think more than half of the netting is completely down now.

Did the engineers not take this into consideration

My thoughts exactly. It would seem they would have. Hopefully they look into making the netting system collapsible, because this storm was light weight compared to other storms.

Intriguing. I wonder how quickly they can get everything repaired? I take it those are steel poles that aren't meant to bend, or no?

    This.

Or else this is going to be a continual issue for them during winter ice storms or during spring severe weather season.

How did it not fall down after Thanksgiving? Must have been more the wind combo this time.
