Maybe. I'm inclined to think it's more like someone waived some free tickets outside Frontier City. Sure it was an ok way to hang around and pass some time, but it's not anything that will really butter yer biscuits.

I like how this thread has turned into somehow holding up Lethal Weapon 4 as a standard for movie script writing...I suppose its right up there with "Commando"
So far, there is only one in the mall who knew about okcmarketcenter.com, and it was a store owner. My friend, who is friends with one of the people on the inside of this whole market center, told me he went by the pizza place, curious as to wether they knew or not. When my friend asked the employee there, "if he had the news about the market center, out of curiosity," the employee said something way different.
The employee stated, "I never heard about it becoming a market center. I did hear that the owners of Quail Springs Mall bought this mall."
There is more happening than not. I'm just happy about that.
Interesting. I got curious and called the marketing/leasing office of CRM. I told them I was a long time shopper there, who wanted to see the mall restored to its former glory (which I do).
I asked the lady if it was true the mall was bought, and it is going to be called "OKC Market Center."
She told me, "at this stage of the game, I can't say what is happening. At the risk of getting into trouble, I won't comment on that."
I then asked, well is it true Dillards is coming back. She stated Dillards would be the ones to ask, and they can come and go as they please.
I then stated that I was just curious as a long time shopper who wanted to see the mall in better spirits, told her thank you, and hung up.
Always been a skeptic but it seems you are now just making crap up to keep the thread alive
It's true there are other Zombie Malls. I found one on Youtube, so it must be true.

This is one of my favorite threads of all time. I would like to see the mods make this thread a sticky.
All this talk of zombies is ticking off the ghouls, who as you can see, are assembling their army to launch an all out attack on Crossroads Mall (and all of Middle Earth).
I called the number and i heard a raspy voice saying BRaaaains.. The invasion of the zombies has begun people, this isnt a warning, close the underground tunnel now!!!!!!!!!!
This reminds me of the movie Dawn of the Dead.
Okay, fine. You guys talking about Zombies and such, made me have to break out a scene from one of my favorite zombie flicks.

I'm starting to think the mall will look different than two of my dreams I've had.
I had another dream about the mall last night, and it has looked the same way it has in a previous couple of dreams I've had.
It still favors a brown-ish look, but looks more modern.
I had a dream I was entering the mall. Someone I know said hi to me as they were leaving the mall. It was fall or winter, because I was wearing my OU hoodie.
Actually, now that I think about it, I had two dreams about the mall. Both dreams were in different sections of the mall, but both dreams showed the mall looking the same.
The second dream I had last night, I was on the second floor, near the middle. I can't recall too much of this dream, but all I know is it was around Halloween time, and the mall reflected as such.
There was an interesting article in Saturday's Business section about a transaction by "Sooner or Later Associates who paid 2.45 million to Crossroads-Maiden Lane LLC, an entity of the Federal Reserve Bank, for several properties near Crossroads Mall: a Fairfield Inn, aa Residence Inn and a Texas Roadhouse restaurant " "Paul Ravencraft of Price Edwards & Co. negotiated the transaction" I am aware this is not the mall but...
Interesting. Someone saw some potential in that.
I think we can also gather what's going on, if we keep an eye on all of the mall's surrounding property.
They have a few jacked up looking parking areas, that would be ripe for lanscaping and have something built on it.
They could demolish/renovate the two former tire centers outside of the mall, and turn those into something.
That is interesting to know someone bought those properties.
Mega, were you not aware of the latest transaction? It was first published by another source about a week or two ago. Can't remember where I had read of it. All of this further shows that change is coming.
Didn't know to be honest.
Even though it will be cool for the mall to be back on its feet, I had hoped for more.
I had hoped it would still be a mall, they would renovate it to include AMC theatres inside (instead of outside), and dedicate a section of the mall to being a food court.
I'll take what I can get though.
I hope this means people will buy the surrounding properties and build more retail/restaurants.
I think the theater is just fine where it is. Don't want to lose an anchor space for it.
any more info, speculation or otherwise, on dillard's returning as a clearance center?
They were supposed to be back in there store, at the mall, a month ago.
Everyone I've talked to at the mall says they are coming back, but it's taking a bit longer than they expected.
As for retail coming around the mall. Why not? Some of the empty parking lots are so tore up, it would be best to just landscape it, and put a for sale sign on that piece of land, like some of the land around the mall has.
Just because one market center doesn't have any retail around it, doesn't mean OKC Market Center can't. It is the first of its kind here in Oklahoma, so why not attract more customers to the market center, by having lots of other retail near them?
It would certainly do more good than harm.
