Good to hear. I’ve heard the Summit Club has also been looking to expand to DT OKC.

On my commutes home from the Del City area, this building is pretty prominent on the north side of the skyline while driving I-35 over the river. Pretty cool addition.

Is the hotel only for the members of the club or will it be open for public bookings?

That sunrise in the background is an absolute vibe for this city. I know we usually see the sunset pics but that early morning blaze got me feeling really excited for the future.

I don't know about the club here specifically, but in my experience with a few east coast university-affiliated clubs it will be only for members of the club (and other people who qualify such as spouses, children, etc.) and (where the value proposition of something like this can make more sense if you travel a lot) members of "partner" clubs across the country/world, often at the low end of market rates for rooms with the benefits of the amenities of the club, great accommodations, and in prime locations in the relevant city.

Ladies and gentleman, we've topped out. Excited to see them finish this thing! Huge win on getting this height added to the area!!

I see plenty of areas to the east of the Citizen where additional heigh could be added. I'd love to see a slew of 10-20 story buildings be built back there.

They have already started to add cladding to the east side of the building...

I'll try and get a photo soon.

Oklahoman finally reported on this today. The article indicates the name of the club is The Citizen House

Does anyone know the height of the Citizen compared to the height of the former Alfred P. Murrah building? I am curious if the Citizen is taller and by how much. TIA

Not sure about the heights, but the Murrah Building was 9 floors; Citizen is 12.

Should be a good looking building. I’ve noticed architectural firms king of use sharper angles and exaggerate the views from what the buildings actually going to look like. Is that common.

I also love the darker color since that will add some nice color variety to the north view of the skyline. There isn't a building of its color in view.

You're correct! Eventually OKC's skyline will feature fifty shades of grey!

    I kid. It's a really refined look.

That’s going to look really slick when it’s complete. It’s great seeing larger lots get built up at once, but this going up on a smaller lot gives me optimism that developers here are starting to figure out the vitality of high density structures developing in vertical sections rather than shorter, horizontal developments that come out to the sidewalk but feel like monolithic structures with a single use + a coffee shop.

Yes! I was so happy to see this go up on a pretty small lot. This corner looks so legit with this one mid rise going up and I hope it inspires more projects like it!

The lot is very small. When it was a surface parking lot, there were not many spaces present, it was that small. They have gotten this thing up fast. I work across the street and park in the Heritage Garage, and I have just been amazed at how fast it has gone up. From the looks of it, I believe they will be topped out by the end of next week, or early the week after. And they are skinning the structure very quickly. And the skin has the windows already integrated from what I can see. So I suspect by Thanksgiving it will be skinned. Just crazy. I think they have moved up the opening to spring of '24 they have gone so quickly.
