Men's BB still can't compete on the Power 4 level. Choked away an 18 point lead and lose at home to a team that was not playing their best player.

I legitimately did not think I could still get as angry over a sporting event as I managed to get walking out of the LNC after tonight's game. Been in attendance for 44 games of the Moser era and crossing my fingers that I'll only have to be in attendance for eight more.
To be fair A&M is ranked #10
No excuse to blow an 18 pt lead at home when you get a career high 34 point performance from a guy averaging 8 pts per game off the bench. Just an awful collapse and a terrible loss.
Maybe that hot dog vendor from Paycom Arena setup shop outside Lloyd Noble and they all got food poisoning the second half? lol
They got smoked again in the second half last night to start SEC play 0-3 now. 2 double digit losses + blowing 18 point lead to a team without it's best player.
Good news is we aren't in the big 12, bad news is we are still bad & although SEC schedule is much easier it doesn't really matter.
SEC is easier? 9 teams ranked in the top 25 6 ranked in the top 10. Missouri unranked is 13-3 Vandy is 13-3 Easier how?
They have Texas, South Carolina, and @Arkansas all are 0-3 they better win the next 3. Then it's wow. Have to play Florida, Kentucky, Tenn, Aurburn, Texas A&M
The thinking is that Big 12 is better in basketball while SEC is better in football. Might not always be true but no Kansas, no Houston, there's a few guaranteed L's a year. Auburn/Tenn at the top is very strange. We'll see how things shake out by end of year. Maybe the schedule isn't any easier this year but my original point was that it doesn't really matter. All 3 of those conference losses look bad right now.
So true. . .
That's the concern of moving to one of the overall toughest conference in the country. Football, basketball (m-w), baseball & softball are ultra competitive. Not optimistic
you're see any Sooner teams atop the SEC for this year and next in F, BB. Softball is more promising, other than that; we'll just have to see how this plays out.
i've been one that was thinking many OU fans were jumping gun on wanting porter gone, even last year. but now we are at the point that he has to find a way to turn it around. he has no excuses. if this team is just a bubble tourney team again, even if they make it this year, and lose in the first round, i don't know if he can stay... this team needs to get a few good wins and atleast make it to the round of 32

OU Womens Gymnastics was amazing this weekend at the Paycom Center. I haven't found actual attendance figures, but it had to be somewhere close to 5-6k for the session OU was in.
Can the mens team win 6 SEC games. Their tournament chances are all but gone. Wins South Carolina, Vandy, LSU, Missouri, Arkansas, @Texas Thats 6. Beat Mississippi puts them 7-9 Might get them on the bubble at best.
Winning does boost attendance, as does the pre-game, game, and post-game experiences, as well as accessibility and time to attend factors. New arena at UNP should be a great enhancement and help stabilize attendance factors and make it competitive with other entertainment options.
Thanks for reminding us of changes needed.
