This one really hurts. I loved him in Homicde: Life on the Streets and would watch anything he was in. Such a great actor who will be missed.

I meant to post that when I first saw it but got side tracked.
He played the goofy brother in the act but was known to be the brains. He was also a decent guitar player and music writer. He got to know John Lennon and played acoustic guitar on "Give Peace A Chance".

The Animal has talked most of the morning about TK. Lots and lots of callers/texters with stories about running into him here or there and how thoughtful, generous and just a regular nice guy he was.

I bet he hated hearing his own song play, "I Should Have Been a Cowboy" after every time OSU beat OU.

Stephen Colbert on his Tues. night show took time out to remember how great Toby Keith was even to him. It was very touching. Toby taught him not to prejudge the guests on his show. I had no idea how much Toby and Stephen appreciated each other in some ways. “I like to give people the finger a lot — and you can’t give the royal finger better than Stephen Colbert.” Toby Keith

I bet he was laughing his ass off at the irony, I would be. Stillwaters favorite song is by an OU superfan and legend lol.

So many great Toby memories being an OU alum but I think what actually stands out to me the most is after 9/11 - Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue. We'll put a boot in your ass the American Way!

^The Morning Animals were talking yesterday about last year’s OU OSU basketball game in Stillwater. OSU beat OU and after the game Toby and Barry Switzer were at Eskimo Joes. By the end of the night Toby was doing his own little show downstairs that included Should’ve Been a Cowboy. Pretty cool story.
