I lived on the other side of the golf course, on Hillcrest drive. I remember there wasn't much of anything south of 65th or 66th street.

I'll bet your rent was a sky high $45 per month. That was a high rent
area. I mean, living walking distance from Don's Drive-In and Across the
    Street!

$35.00 month and close to OKC's first Taco Bell......Plus, the landlord paid the water and gas and electricity....Oh yeah, my mother-in-law was a good friend.

Did you know that the first Taco Bell was on the south side of OKC?

Naw, the first Taco Bell was located by Dr. Opper's old office....When my wife was first pregnant that was all she would eat...even late a night....sometimes when they were closing.....oh well, she was worth it.

I remember going there after high school to get a belt with all the tools to stamp out my name on the back and all the decorations, then had to buy all the dyes, and a big honkin belt buckle you could eat cereal out of. I think that belt cost around $4000.00 WHEN IT WAS DONE!

Put it Ebay and see what it's worth.

The story alone should bring $50.

No. Prunette won't be joining us and the Model A isn't road worthy, yet. I'm
working on tires, tubes and liners. It'll be there in the summer... I think...

Being an independently wealthy musician has it's ups and downs and really
    far downs...

I'll see you all tomorrow, or later today.

I'm excited that I can make it!

    Soonergirl26, I'll call around 2pm.

Gen64 don't do anything to run (or scare) everybody off - no table dancing
    this time...

Frisky, keep Gen64 in line. 78 don't do nuthin' dumb.

And whoever shows up, stick around!

There was a suggestion to change the meeting time for this month's meeting to 2:30pm...but that didn't work out.
