They were at the Full Moon Bike ride on Tuesday downtown. giving away sunglasses for signing up to win a part of 5 at the soft opening.
Has an opening date been announced?
June 18.
June 18th is the VIP party, it is open to the public on the 19th. 4-5 hour waits are expected, and unfortunately there will be no reservations. So you will be forced to try out our lovely drinks and food many things to do while people wait. Can't wait to see you guys there!
They're ooooopppppeeeeennnnn! They opened early! Friday is the grand opening.
They're definitely open already.
Just breifly visited. Already getting busy. Unfortunately didn't snap any pics, but they are definitely open.
Look forward to the party Thursday night
Went last night and had an absolute blast. It was pretty packed for the 2 hours we were there - I can't imagine how long the wait will be during the grand opening this weekend. I had one of the flatbreads and my wife tried the spinach and goat cheese salad. Both were very good. Our friends got the chips and guacamole and a turkey wrap which they said were good. When we got there it was raining pretty hard. The employee that took us to our bay said that each TopGolf is positioned so that the predominant wind hits the entrance of the building. He said for the most part it can be raining/hailing, etc. and the wind will be blocked enough that it can't blow into the bays.
This place will be a total hit, and not just with golfers. There were plenty of families and rookie golfers there last night having a great time.
thinking about sneaking out tonight after 8pm to play, how late are they open and did you wait for a bay?
We got there around 6:30 and didn't have to wait for a bay. I think they plan to be open until midnight on weekdays and perhaps later on weekends. They were still very busy when we left around 9.
Stupid question, but how do clubs work? Just like a normal driving range? It's cool to lug my whole bag through the joint?
^^ been wondering the same thing. On their website the 5$ membership fee says free club rental so I assume they have loads there to try but can we bring our own bags too?
Yes, you can bring your own clubs.
Lots of people do.
Each bay has a full range of clubs for both men and women, as well as several slots in which to rest your own bag if you choose to bring it. You can also request a bay that is equipped with left-handed clubs.
Thanks!
I predict this will be one of their top performing locations.
OKC and TopGolf are a perfect match.
I went last night. It was pretty fun, even though it was raining. The comment earlier about the layout to prevent getting wet would be pretty accurate, but considering the rain was coming from the East, it didn't prevent us from getting wet.
Now, I think the place is amazing. I saw the Fire Marshall's Capacity Rating was about 1500 people. That's a lot. I didn't realize you could just go there and drink or eat. It is a place where you can go for a night out, and maybe only play golf for an hour. The family side had game rooms for kids with fooseball tables and xbox games. They really hit all the demographics it seems. Amazing!
Our waitress/hostess was great. She got us drinks in under 5 minutes of us getting to our bay. She was knowledgable and was telling us about the training she had to do weeks prior. She basically took golf lessons. She had time to hang around and to socialize, which was nice, considering this is more of a social place, not a golf place. I will be going back for sure!
Last thing. I consider myself an intermediate golfer so I took my clubs. I don't really recommend it if you are looking to just have fun.
Edit: I will add, I thought I might fall off the 3rd floor due to it being quite slippery... Be careful if it's wet!
do they not have the nets that hang out to catch people? I had a friend who had quite a few at the one in dallas and it caught him when he "fell". then was escorted out.
