Actually it was in '08' but within the last 12 months! The first one died of a normal cause and they said the other one just gave up and couldn't live with out his twin. Just reporting what the news said....Strange Huh?

Topper? What in the world was Topper? Are you making this up? I think
you're making that so-called show up.

Jungle Boy was Johnny Sheffeld. You know, BOY!

Topper? You're making that up. There wasn't such a show... admit it...
    Soonergirl26 tell him I'm right.

Who ever heard of Topper... good grief...

You've been lying about your age haven't you? Topper was about a young couple who bought a house and it was Haunted by a Friendly Ghost and his name was Topper...There was St. Bernard Dog in it..and....Oh, USG60 tell him the rest of the story I've been Flim-Flammed by The Prunepicker...He's not really as old as he has been telling us....

I remember a movie with Cary Grant called Topper. I just looked on IMDb and
saw that the TV show was from 1979. Are you talking about that show?
That's when I virtually stopped watching the tube for a few years. A-Team,
Barney Miller and Nero Wolfe was about all I watched. Of course any time
    the President was on.

I might not be old like you...

Me and my sister used to watch Decorating Crafts with Becky. I believe it was on Saturday afternoons. It had really cool music for the opening. We would run to TG&Y and buy a kit with spray glue and a packet of color foil. Then would proceed to foil everything in sight switchplates, picture frames, you name it we foiled it. My mother took it all in stride bless her heart. When my Mother passed away I found a gold foiled bust that I had given her for Christmas. I have it in my computer room and look it with much fondness.

My parents bought a new Sylvania "Big Screen" television when I was in the 3rd or 4th grade. The set had a flourescent ring around the screen. Man I thought the theater had moved into the house....probably was a 24" screen with this lage halo around it... Did I mention there was only black/White T.V. then??? I do remember Ida B doing the first Live broadcast for color for channel 5 in 1964. The final count down everyone thought it would be her as she was doing all of the commentary and then 5 4 3 2 1 bingo...The American Flag....Old Red/White & Blue for all the world to see....

Ida B (Ida Blackburn) was an all-around personality. She used to do ads for hearing aids with Wava. She also had a morning talk show back in the early 60's. Nice lady....TG&Y sponsor her show quite a bit and we would take new items out to the old channel 5 studio and go on the air live with Ida B. Kind of an attractive blonde haired lady....She shows up on ads every now and then...

I vaguely remember her. But I won't see her on TV because I won't watch
an advertisement for any reason whatsoever. I haven't since @1985.
    I can't stand them.

I think the Hardy Boys was the show we were trying to figure out. It had
Tim Constantine, who playing Spin in 'Spin and Marty'. I get the episodes
mixed up. I remember they found a treasure after one of them slipped
    through a broken stair.

Tommy Kirk, the computer that wore tennis shoes, was on one of those.

I don't know what the name of the captain was but Mike Nelson played
    Lloyd Bridges.

Yes, I knew about Festus, Ken Curtis. I remember seeing them on a John
Wayne movie. Fort Apache? Rio Grande? I think Jim Rockford's dad was in
    the movie.

Who played the little brother, or cousin or something on Flipper? Who
    played Flipper.

I must confess, I watched the test patterns. Here are a few that some of
    the OLD timers may remember...

Gen64 told me about this one... the audio is incredible... Yes, boys and
girls, many people watched this for hours awaiting the awesome
programming to follow... all except soonergirl26 who was sound asleep from
dancing all night at the Scene... but that's because she's so young.
    (cough)

Soonergirl26 told me about this one...

I have nothing to do with the commentary!

    Fess Parker was both...
    Davy... Davy Crockett,
    King of the wild frontier.

How dare you disparage the name of Crockett and Boone!
