    I bought thousands of dollars of meat and cheeze from Burger Brothers for work lunchs in the '70s.

    Oh my...burger bros. was the best we went there on sundays and got hot links , potato salad, baked beans......wish they were still around it was some good grub.

    Welcome SE-76!!! I need more Spartan support on here...I seem to be the only one!! I posted that message on classmates.com in hopes that some more Spartans would come and join this thread...there are LOTS of Generals on here. (They are really good guys, but don't let them know that!!) You should join us at our next monthly lunch....Saturday, Feburary 21, at 12:30pm at Coit's - 24th & S. Western.

    I can't believe how many pages we have now!! And I keep thinking we have covered EVERY memory there could ever be. But I see that you guys are coming up with more and more!

    Thanks Grantgenerals78 for missing me on here...just haven't had the time to get on and spent an hour tonight just reading and catching up.

    Prunepicker.....glad to hear you're feeling better. We have missed you the past few months at the lunches and hope you can join us this month. And tell Prunette that I am harmless....at least I think I am!!

    I just remembered a mexican restaurant we used to got to in the late 70`s it was on about 32 and robinson for the life of me I cannot remember the name of it.

    maybe in an old motorcourt on the nw corner of 33rd & robinson?

    in the 80's, i knew that as tulio's... but i think it was originally an el charrito.

    That's what I was thinking too... El Charrito's. On the SE corner of that intersection was an old "plaster of paris" place....anyone know if it is still there?

    That has been a restaurant for many years. My family went there when I was a little boy. I believe it was El Charrito back then also. I may be wrong.

    It was originally a El Charrito, then changed to El Chico in the mid-70's, then Tulio's in the 80's. Anyone know what is there now?

    Plaster of Paris place, Was J&J outlet closed years ago far as I know. Was owned by Jim Nutt. My ex-wife use to go there all the time
