And food trucks will still exist and people will still be allowed to go to Midtown on a Friday night.

I think you will start to see food trucks more often the rest of the month, in other parts of downtown. A number of the trucks were a little bit spoiled by getting wiped out (in a good way) once a month, and didn't work quite as hard the rest of the time.
Hoping this will cause some of them to spend a few more lunchtimes and evenings downtown and elsewhere, like trucks do in just about every other city.
is Eats on 8th going to be still every month? or are they going once a year now as well?
Their Facebook page just mentions that Oct. 30th will be the last one for the year. It doesn't say anything at all about future events.

Cancelled final H&8th due to rain...
Does anyone know who to contact to be their weather person? This is the second time they have cancelled when really they should not have. The rain will easily be moved out by this evening.
Oh well, it will still be cold. Just means more people in the other districts tonight, hope to see lots of cool costumes out there!
Hipsters dont like rain but hipsters due like the cold. They can wear their thrift store sweaters.
After 5 and it is still raining in Norman. I believe the right call was made here.
Last wave is moving through the metro now...
I'm still at work now - two blocks from where H&8th is held. Looking out the window Its raining and miserable out. IMO it was a good call canceling both events.
