Taco Casa

I have ate at Taco Casa, and while it is good, I would not go out of my way on a weekly basis to eat there. Would love to see more healthier versions of restaurants. It seems some people are really super excited about another fast food place opening up?

I mean, on the one hand, I get your point... but personally I see nothing wrong with being excited about a fast food place. Sometimes you have a craving for a specific flavor or flavor combination and when it's easier to satisfy that craving, that's a win in my book. Taco Casa reminds me of how good Taco Bell used to taste when I was a kid, which was one of my favorite places to eat growing up. I don't eat that kinda stuff nearly as much as I used to, but it'd still be nice to have one closer so that I don't have to go out of my way when that craving hits.

With any fast food you pretty much know what you are getting going in. And with the better fast food chains you usually get consistency.

Taco Casa has filed a building permit application for the location at NW 50th & May, just to the north of the building with the new Starbucks.

From filing to completion/opening what is usually the timeline? 6 months or so?

More like a year.

And Taco Casa has previously filed plans then sat on them for a long time.
