Hi, Spookytourchick......and welcome to the forum. I think you will find this a very unique place to be, and your opinions and ideas are always welcome. Being a single mom with 2 girls, means you are a very busy lady, so thanks for taking the time to register, and I hope we see more of you .Originally Posted by Spookytourchick

Hello.......I am a former OKC'er who has lived in Tokyo for the past 8 years.
It's been kind of fun checking out some of the topics (esp. the nostalgia stuff) on these boards. I'm surrounded by 150 Japanese software programmers who don't relate much with conversations dealing with Del Rancho Steak Sandwich Supremes, Jim Traber, or OSU football. Well, Traber..maybe....but forget the rest.
Anyway....see you around.
Hi, I'm sgsooners and I am currently employed at the University of Oklahoma. I also work with one of my friends that just started her own graphic design, corporate identity firm - Wet Ink, Inc. in Norman.
I enjoy attending sporting events and art festivals. I have 3 dogs and 1 cat.
Well welcome to the board SweetNSourPoke, and sgsooners. Since you said you like art festivals sgsooners, do you know about the may fair this weekend at andrews park. It runs fri sat sun, if you haven't been its a good place to go lots of art and other stuff too.
Where is St.Andrews park?
Andrews park is in downtown next to the railroad tracks. Its just south of the post office and the police station. If you are on gray street adn see the post office just turn left and you will see it. If you come off of 35 and take the highway 77 exit or flood street cross robison and go down to acres I think there is a light there now a muffler shop is on the corner turn left and that will take you right by there. If you need more better directions let me know.
Hi Dirtrider,
We are planning to visit MayFair maybe today or Sunday. We are going to try and get to Edmond tomorrow for the Downtown Arts Festival - one of my favorite artisits, Lisa Regan, is exhibiting. She is also know as Garden Deva and has lots of metal goodies for the outside and inside as well.

I'm Debra. Born at Ft. Sill and moved to Okc when I was 3 months old. My mother was born here in Okc, somewhere on NW 13th Street. With the exception of a couple of years when I was too young to now remember and a couple of years when I was 22-24, I have lived in the Okc metro area for half a century. I have two grown daughters both of whom now live in the Dallas area.
Hi Debra, and thanks for letting us know a little more about you and for becoming a part of okctalk. We have a great bunch of friendly people here, and I know you will enjoy the time you spend on this forum.Originally Posted by Debra

Hello- My name is Phil Bewley. I've been trying to get downtown since I moved here in 1978 from San Diego, CA. My family has several businesses at 1017 NW 6th (Prime Realty, Inc.,Prime Lending, Custom Plastics, and Art Fusion Galery and Studio. My wife Lisa and I are remodeling a home near NW 7th and Francis in the Midtown area. I'm into Art architecture, photography and Lisa has really become interested in birding in the last couple of years.
Hi Phil......I would like to welcome you to this very unique forum. There are always many different discussions going on, and occasionally a good debate. It's great to hear that you have businesses that are real close to downtown, and I wish you and your wife, Lisa, the best of luck on remodeling your home.Originally Posted by midtowneye

Hello Everyone,
I'm the Dungeon Master. This may sound weird to some of you but It's my title. I own a dungeon located in Bricktown, OKC.
A dungeon you say?
Yes, It's an amusment ride opening up in July.
I was born and raised in South OKC and went to the Moore school district. I joined the Air Force and years later went to the Okla Air National Guard where I am currently employed.
For a hobby I set up haunted houses and rides to provide clean, fun entertainment for families to enjoy.
OK, this guy is really weird. Well, blame it on my dad. He started it (when I was young).
Anyway, I'm glad to be aboard and hope to see this site progress as OKC/Bricktown progresses. I think it's great to see our town finally get on the maps of tourism. growth is a good thing and it can only get better.
Thanks,
The Dungeon Master
