Week 3 rankings are meaningless. Last year in week 3 OU was ranked number 4 and the 2 teams that ended up playing for the big 12 championship weren’t ranked at all. They shouldn’t even release rankings until at least week 6. Kstate not being ranked right now doesn’t mean they aren’t in the mix for the title this year.
Farooq is playing. He's number 3 on offense.
Sooners looking better than they ever did with Riley
I don't think anybody expected this. Highest line I saw was 23 1/2.
I'm loving this defense. They're tackling. Really tackling. Not bumping the ball carrier and hoping he goes down. Corners aren't lining up 10 yards off the line. They're playing proper defense.
For sure! This is the best I’ve seen an OU team since 2000!
Defense and offense is insanely good.
All the sport talking heads said this was going to be the game tests the Brent Venables error which is crazy
because Nebraska is a horrible team and just fired their HC
I can see OU winning a natty in 3 years
OU will have recruits running to them after this season and Venables and his staff recruited a lot of high end players.
Top 5 in recruiting for next years season

Oklahoma Sooners 49 at Nebraska Cornhuskers 14
Attendance: 87,161
Obviously, not an Oklahoma sports forum fan base/space at all
Just speculation but, I’m guessing if this was an OU chess game championship this thread would have 10+ pages haha
Love's Field
The new proposed $42 million Love’s Field is expected to be fully funded by direct private support, making it the largest female-specific, privately-funded sport facility in the history of college athletics. More than $30 million has been given by 873 donors toward the project.
Love's Travel Shop's $12 million donation is the largest contribution to the OU women's softball stadium from an initial pledge of $9 million.

Kansas State Wildcats 41 at Oklahoma Sooners 34

Attendance: 84,376
So, it's now up to OSU to prove it's worthy of its high ranking when it plays Baylor and later Texas. Kansas State bears watching.
I was surprised that Kanak didn’t play any defensive snaps. Thought he could have done a better job on Martinez.
Exactly. 1)Anybody that thought a team that's been through the turmoil that this Sooner team has been through in the past year would have an amazing season was delusional. 2)K-State has a defense that's probably a top 10 defense in the country. 3)The K-State QB had the best game of his life. He even thinks so. This was a bump in the road. We'll be fine.
I can see a team with 3 conference losses making the Big 12 Championship game this year. The parity in the conference this year is absurd.
Don't forget about Texas Tech. They are 3-1 with their only loss on the road to a top 10 team. 3 out of their first 4 games have been against ranked opponents. They are somewhere in that mix as well. I think the big 12 is just going to be chaos every week. I'd still put my money on OU winning the conference though. Should get a lot more clarity after this week's games.
^You will get some nice “plus” money line action if you want to bet Kansas straight up v OU. Drive up 35 to Kansas Star Casino. On the way to Nebraska the guys riding with me downloaded the FanDuel app and bet all the way across Kansas. And the location detection was almost perfect. Cut on and off right at the state lines.
