Feels like the Pels won’t take even a single game in this series.

Nah, they’ve been completely humbled without Zion. They’re likely gonna pack it in.

Good game today. We went out to eat at halftime. The place we ended up had some TVs on TNT and some on Bally. TNT was about 10 seconds behind Bally and had different angles. I hate it when that happens.
Dallas or Clippers. I could argue pros and cons for both. I would lean playing the Clippers but Dallas has pros and cons also.
Kawhi Leonard is out indefinitely So OKC/Dallas?

Woo-hoo!
Would be cool to play the Clippers and have all former Thunder players PG13, Harden, and Westbrook back home in the building.
Definitely would be a cool back story to the series that will add to the national media attention.
You may see this play out. Game 5 series tied 2 - 2 will be in L.A., the winner inches closer. It would be cool to see Westbrook, Harden, George on the floor against the Thunder opening in OKC.
Dallas (IMO) has been impressive with bigger players (defense) and rebounding.
I will take Clippers over Mavs all day. OKC's young guys can run them into the ground. Zubac cannot stop Chet. It would be nice for start time to play Dallas, but I will take the better matchup.
The biggest celebration after last night's sweep - I can now cancel BallySports!
The Clippers and Mavs running 6 games possibly 7 put us in the position not to have any weekend games. If either would of swept the other, we probably would of got a Saturday/Sunday afternoon playoff game.
But the way its playing out, the earliest Game 1 for us would be Monday, then Game 2 on Thursday. Late playoff games are brutal during the week...smh.
That is a possibility since game 6 is in Dallas and it would be a short trip to OKC for a Sunday night game. I still think they would start it on Monday though. If it goes game 7 Sunday afternoon game it would start Tuesday in OKC
Edit: Just looked Minnesota/Denver is schedule for Monday not sure they would have both Western Conference games on the same night. So Sunday night could be in Play
But looking at the Denver/Minnesota schedule, they get a 3 day break, and don't play game 1 until Saturday. So you would think there will be at least a 2-3 day break between rounds. With that being said, we are still looking at a Monday or Tuesday for Game 1. And thats only if either the Clips or Mavs can close the series out on Friday.
Hoping the Clips/Mavs goes 7, they would play that on Sunday. Then we would get a Game 1 on possibly Wednesday, then a Game 2 on Friday or Saturday!
And either the Clips/Mavs will be beat up and fatigued from a long 7 game series, while we have rested, lol.
A grinder series going to 6 or 7 with Clippers beating out the Mavs is our best scenario, IMO. OKC will be fresh, and hopefully this time be ready (unlike R1, G1).
The NBA has announced Tuesday as the first game of the Thunder's second round no matter what happens in the Dallas/Clippers series.
Am I the only one who is getting frustrated with all the "who will OKC seek out in free agency" talk? The names that have come up are Lebron, KD, Paul George and Klay Thompson, just to name a few. I feel like bringing someone like Westbrook back on a vet min (has a $4MM player option for 2024/2025) would be good, but I can't see us trading away a bunch of players that are in our young core (Lu, Giddey, JWill, Joe or Wiggins) would be good moral for the team right now. Especially if we are able to make a deep playoff run (maybe take Denver to 7?) I would think we would have learned from our mistakes in 2012 and aren't in a hurry to trade young talent away. Next year, we only have nine players on the books (not including Joe, Wiggins and Waters who are all team options).
2025-2026 is going to be a make or break year for the team because Chet, Giddey, Cason, O Dieng, JDub and JWill will all be on player or team options. In 2026/2027, the end of the SGA contract comes around, Lu, Kenrich and Cason all have team options and Chet, O Dieng and JDub are RFA.
