Kitchen will have sidewalk entrance from the north (the original buiding entrance) and also entrance from the east, from Sandridge Commons. This setup is the best for the restaurant and for the guests...also keeps the integrity of the building.

Can you go into Flint from the sidewalk or do you have to go through the hotel lobby?

Not even a hallway. There are no floors within that space. Just an open "atrium".

Flint is just like 324 in that you can access the restaurant from the sidewalk from one of the streets touching the building, but not the other. Almost the exact same set up, right?

That is what I understand and 324 will benefit from direct sidewalk access, but what about the other service businesses in Braniff? Will they close when the employees leave at 5PM?

Building permits issued today for the tenant finish out for floors 2-10; total just over $2.4 million.

Each floor has 9,000 square feet.

How interesting. The HP component, which SR is still going quite a bit overboard on with a complete reconstruction of the building, is by far the cheapest per sf even including past permits I believe. Compared to $25 million for the Amenities Bldg, et al..

There was a permit in late 2011 for $3 million just for the building shell.

Also, these numbers don't include furniture, fixtures and equipment. Those are usually equal to the building costs.

Still, if you add it all up it's about $6 million in building permits, so maybe double that including FFE.

I am glad that people like Tuck could see the vision in this project. Those pictures are amazing. I walked by there just today on Robinson and couldn't tell anything that cool was in there. From what I can tell from those pictures, Kitchen No. 324 is not on the Robinson side but faces the Sandridge tower. It is now starting to make some sense to me now based on those pictures and some of the previous posts.

    Interesting! Thanks.

I believe they are planning to use this system on the Amenities Building as well and all their future projects show green roofs in the renderings.

Photos from today showing new east facade.

Looks like it will match the tower's lobby:
