My other grandmother had the first multi-track player I ever saw. See bought a new Catalina in the '60s and had it installed by the dealer I think. Burl Ives is the only tape I remember her having.

Burl Ives was my mother-in-law's cousin. Seriously. He was a darned good singer and actor too.

Are you thinking of The Long Hot Summer? Paul Newman with Joanne Woodward, set in Mississippi. I think the family patriarch in that one was Orson Welles though, not Burl Ives.

Oh! Back on topic! Hmmmm... how about The Ventures Live in Japan 1965? Just released a year or two ago. Those guys rocked live! Unfortunately, band founder and original lead guitarist, Bob Bogle, died last year.

You are correct. Burl Ives was in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" as was Paul Newman
and Elizabeth Taylor.

Did anyone notice that Rusty Stevens, aka Larry Mondello, was playing
trumpet in the band?
