This is from a recent City report on the Outlet Mall:

Approximately 28,000 square feet of new space opened in November 2012 and another additional 25,000 square feet was opened in August 2014. For the period of August 2012 through July 2013, the mall saw sales totaling $130.1 million or $353 per sf. For the period August 2013 through July 2014, mall sales totaled $130.3 million. While the Saks store closed in January of 2015, the outlet mall sales from August 2014 through January 2015 have totaled $72.3 million, exceeding the sales targets for these months by 7%.

What is happening on the corner of Council and I-40 just south of I-40. I know not really mall related but they have torn out all those trees. It's across from TA

That 66 acre tract was bought a couple of years ago by a local LLC and they had it rezoned to light industrial.

I haven't been able to find any building permits but believe they are putting in a warehouse / industrial park.

In a hundred years...it will be the newest entertainment district. Metaltown. Oh wait...the buildings probably won't last that long

OKC would continue as in the past and tear them down and replace with something else anyway.

I noticed there's some infill going on at Westgate Marketplace, a half dozen or so more lease spaces. I do wonder if they are leased and what might be going in there.

What is going right up the street between the rib shack (which I never see anyone there) and the subway. This would be just north of Reno

Learned today that a "The North Face" store is coming to the Outlet Mall.

The North Face would be great! At their San Marcos outlet, I scored some great deals on jackets last summer for this year's winter. Got $200 jackets for about $40-$50!

I saw some real good deals at the Mall of American (non outlet store). I think this is a great addition that will do well here.

I'm one of the 5% in denial.

When it was super-cold a few weeks ago I realized that I was wearing NF boots, stocking cap, gloves, puffer vest and over jacket. 9 logos by my count. I need an intervention. But I was warm!

    Looks like it's official:

According to their directory, The North Face is part of the split-up Saks space. Looks like Charlotte Russe is opening there, as well. And, the Coach Men's store is gone.

I saw a foot bridge being installed over the river spur on the south side of I-40 across the outlet mall. Why would they build a foot bridge unless they are planning some foot traffic? Maybe it's is a trail or something, I just thought it was interesting with the new construction at Rockwell and talk of mall expansion.

I believe that's part of the MAPS trail system.

They are extending the trail from the Oklahoma River to Lake Overholser.

There was a building permit last week for both Ted's and The Garage.

It's not unusual for signs to stay up until the work actually starts.

Ok that's cool. Just haven't heard if things were moving along or not.

Keep in mind it can take several months for building permits to be issued.

Even though there were applications for Ted's and The Garage, I wouldn't expect to see any activity for a few more months.

Is Jimmy's Egg still going out there?

Charlotte Russe is taking 5,270 square feet of the old Saks space.

Are Charlotte Russe and North Face the only stores that are taking over the old Saks or are there more?

Speaking of which I'm very surprised an adidas outlet isn't in the shoppes considering they make a lot of the Thunder apparel and have stores in all the other Horizon outlets.
