I have been wondering lately how RW puts up with those straps flapping in his peripheral vision from his mask. It would drive me to distraction just walking about.
Needed that W last night. Pelicans will make a push for that 8 spot. We play the same teams, but the difference is we are horrible on the road and don't play defense at home.
They won 113-92....
Strike Three- No Playoffs
Gonna be a tight fit for sure. Next 3 - @ Grizz; Houston home on Easter (ABC) and home v Spurs next Tuesday (TNT). GULP.
Make the playoffs at the #8 and get bounced or take the lottery pick?
Thunder need playoff experience more than a lottery pick | Daily Thunder.com
Does anyone know about the status of Steven Adams? He went off with a limp in the final minutes of that game.
Take the playoff experience. The Thunder can only drop enough to take the Pelicans or Suns lottery chance spot. They only have a 0.5% and 0.6% chance of winning the lottery according to Bleacher Report. That's not enough of a chance to tank now. If we were going to tank we should have done it in December/January.
Or looking at it from the City of Oklahoma City's perspective take the option that gives businesses at least two more days of home Thunder games. If were lucky three home games. I wonder if there will be less playoff banners hanging this year assuming the Thunder makes it to face Golden State.
two home games = about 4 million for the owners
Randolph will apparently play for Grizz tonight and Brooks says Adams will start for Thunder.
I heard the same thing; on one of the local TV sports channel (generates about $2 million per playoff game).
Here's a source about the economics of the NBA:

And about ten times the points. Seriously though, Kanter is the worst defensive big man I have ever seen. It's not just the points that his man scores, but his terrible team defense leads to easy baskets for everyone else on the other team. It's crazy because his offensive footwork is fantastic, but his defensive footwork is as bad as it gets. And he provides absolutely zero rim protection. Ibaka might be able to cover for some of Kanter's mistakes, but if Kanter is going to be one of the cornerstones of a contending squad he is going to have to improve some. Otherwise, there will be opponents where he will be too big of a defensive liability. When our team is fully healthy next year we will not need his scoring as much so his defense will have to be better. There are only so many shots to go around and his will go down. He's still a young player so hopefully he can improve on the defensive end because he's a fantastic offensive player.
Harden burned us alive at the end there. That really sucks.
Really need Tuesday to go our way.
