I rather like this hand drawn sketch that someone at Daydream Studios conjured up:
It's pretty simple, but I think that's what makes it interesting -- the sheer stark minimalism.
A mere triangle at the top of a tall rectangle is enough to evoke the Devon Tower, and with it, the whole (new age) OKC skyline.
Now let's expand that about 3'' to the left and right and we'll be on a ball.
Wow these are cool and unique shots from up in the tower! I'm so used to seeing stock photos and the ones from VAST, how did you get these cool awesome shots? Those office spaces look nice too!

No really he was a crane operator among many other things...
Going off the photo above of the person "working" in their office, is the ventilation system really coming through the floor like that? Seems odd - anyone know details on this?
Thanks skanaly! Should have seen that!
I'm not sure how all those shot were taken. But just to take a guess... the local media certainly did a lot of coverage of the Tower as it was going up, so Jack Frank could have obtained some of that footage. Then, likely, he probably was allowed by Devon to tour the building and take internal shots of offices, meeting places, etc. and conduct some interviews while making the documentary. Also, it seems likely that Devon itself probably had some internal staff that documented the building and fill out of the tower, and Mr. Frank may have gotten permission to use some of that video in his film as well.
Underfloor hvac is pretty common in this kind of structure where it uses the underfloor as a plenum or as a place for all mechanicals. Putting things in the ceiling has many drawbacks. This has been common in a lot of places for some time, but we haven't had this kind of new construction here before so it isn't common here.
Yes, early on they said there would be raised floors on all levels for HVAC and wiring.
If anyone is downtown right now, pls video the Devon light show.
Drove past it tonight. It was pretty awesome I must say.
Going off the time-lapse video, was it sectioned off coloring?
I have always wanted them to be able to "pulse" the different colors up from the ground instead of simply fading in and out. Nice to see they actually are taking note of the lights - now if they could get that really reliable crane on top going....
Here's a local copy I made of one of the news9 SkyCam shots from last night:
Not a very high quality pic, but at least you can see some of the coloration they were fooling around with.
Perhaps they'll have some good shots of the Devon Tower in tonight's Thunder game coverage. If so, someone could grab some snazzy screenshots from that.
I sent Pete some wicked pictures of Devon last week when it had a wicked glare and low lying clouds, hopefully Pete will have a chance to post soon.
Maybe I am missing something, but why do users send photos to Pete as opposed to posting them here in the threads....?
No it's just a pain to do from my mobile
