The newest theatre out in Yukon is disgusting. The quality of that place is just really awful.

Oh I didn't know about the Yukon theatres (it's only been a year since I moved to OKC sorry to be a newb everyone ). I mean Quail and Penn have a theater, so I was just thinking maybe the Outlets could do that too... And sorry if I offended you ljbab728

It would be fair to call Yukon's theater an outlet mall theater.

I would say the west side could use a theater. If I lived out by the Outlets, Bricktown would probably be my option. I think there is enough people on that side of the metro to support a theater, especially since it would probably be of much higher quality than the one in Yukon. The OKC metro is saturated with theaters, but there really is only a few quality ones, those being Bricktown, Quail Springs AMC, and the Warren in Moore.

LOL, that doesn't come close to offending me.

Aaaaaaaahhhhh the AMC one in Quail is debatable.

I've always enjoyed my experiences at Quail's theater.

Yeah it's nice, but I think it is starting to go down hill a little bit along with whole mall.

Is there something going on below the surface that shows the mall is going down hill? It's the only mall we go to (closest) but I still prefer it over Penn Square. We rarely go to any other theater than the AMC 24 there. I've not seen any evidence that the mall is going down hill at all, but keep hearing people say it.

I do not see the QSM as going downhill, however, it just does not have the types of stores that I personally would shop at. To many hokey mom and pop stores and not enough stores such as Banana Republic, Restoration Hardware, J Crew etc... no mass appeal to modern day shoppers. I heard that Sears is closing in QSM so perhaps they will gain a more desired upscale tenant. With all the growth out in far North OKC and Deer Creek and Edmond area along with high incomes, I feel QSM should decide to upgrade their mix of stores.

The newer theater in Yukon is bad. The picture is a little blurry and the floors are dirty. Concessions are not good, popcorn isn't good and service is slow. I have seen several people stand in line for minutes then when they get near the front they find out they are in the wrong line (tickets vs. concessions) and it's really not their fault. I just don't like going there.

If the outlet mall opened a theater I think the Yukon theater would all but disappear. But teenagers hanging around the theater who don't go to a movie may happen like it did at the theater in Bricktown and the dollar movies by Crossroads.

The best theater to me is the one in El Reno. 8 screens so your movie may not be playing. No IMAX or upscale seating, no upscale concessions, no beer. But the picture is the best I have seen in the OKC metro at any theater. I have been to most theaters in OKC recently. I have seen a manager out in the theater with some kind of handheld device. It looked like he was calibrating the picture somehow. Great sound and the theater is clean, really clean as a matter of fact. Nothing on the floors or in the bathrooms. Heck, the bathroom mirrors don't even have any water splotches on them and the waste baskets never get full (so you don't have to push your trash into them). Now the theater doesn't seem to do a whole lot of business. But that isn't the customers concern (not really unless it goes out of business). The customers can just sit back and enjoy an uncrowded theater even on a Saturday night for a new release. The most crowded I have ever seen the theater was for "Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest". The main theater was 70% full on a Sunday afternoon. That's where I usually go for a movie.

Agreed, but living in the Northside its nice enough to keep me from driving all the way down to Bricktown to see a movie.

Some of the nicest theaters I've been in are the newer Regal theaters. There are two in Charlotte that beat anything in OKC except for the Warren. Maybe something like that would be good for the Outlet mall area?

It would be awesome if they could convert part of the old AT&T factory into stores, movie theater, and some restaurants!

I don't mean going down hill as far as losing clients and things like that. I just mean when I go there now there is just something about that feels like it is starting to become run down. I think a remodel is due. I really can't explain it too much, but it's just personal opinion.

To be honest here, I just wish they would keep the stores at Qual Springs the way they are now and just remodel the mall and maybe add like an underground parking lot or something to consolidate parking so they can remove half of the parking. I think

I pretty sure I'm not very popular around here saying this, but I wish they would build about two new indoor malls. Something like the Galleria for downtown and a shopping feel like Frisco, TX with Life Style centers surrounding a big upscale indoor mall would be awesome in my opinion. Something like that would be awesome somewhere along I-35 in Edmond or somewhere in Norman(I don't really know Norman that well so I wouldn't know where to build one there).

Oh, I have heard amazing things about Regal. I will have to go look them up online.

The Crossroads theater was built as a Regal and it was great in its time. Today, its owned by AMC and the word is its run down and not very well maintained. The newer ones are amazing.

Here is a picture of the outside of the Charlotte Ballantyne Regal.

When I first went to the Outlet mall which was a week after it opened I found a lot of outlet items to be expensive, for example they had Sketchers for over 50 bucks when I could get them at JCP for a bit cheaper and the Polo store was pretty expensive too. I found great deals at Aeropostle and that was the only store at the Outlet I found a great deal.

When I recently went I found a 159 dollar coat at Bass for 27 dollars and Hilfiger jeans for 14 dollars. I have to say some of the stores have good deals while some are just too expensive for me like Polo Ralph Lauren, Zumiez and Saks for sure. The US Polo store has pretty good deals and I love trying those samples at Le Gormet Chef.

I hope the Outlet mall remains here for awhile and gets more stores and does not end up like Gainesville, I don't know what the deal with that mall is, it's right across from Winstar!

I think the biggest problem with Gainesville is that similar options closer to major population centers opened up. People won't drive that far when they don't have to.

Grapevine Mills and the outlet in Allen pretty much killed Gainesville traffic from DFW. And slowly improving shopping options in Ardmore and Durant have done the same for Oklahoma traffic.

It's probably a safe bet to look at some of the stores at other Horizon properties to see what OKC might be getting in this latest expansion.

I think this new expansion should include more lifestyle tenants. A movie theater and more restaurants would be perfect. I see this becoming like Concord Mills in Charlotte.
