Went right by after the game last night and it lights up very nicely. Looks really good.

Yeah, I sourced that pic when I posted it to the Favorite Skyline Shots thread. Probably should have done so here as well. Ok, I'll rectify that now.

An OKC misty/foggy skyline shot -- I like how the Aloft Hotel proudly juts out above Deep Deuce.

To get a better sense, here's a closer look:
(side note: oh how I love the fall leaves)
The Aloft really dominates that section of the skyline. Of course, that view will fill in even more when the Holiday Inn Express is finished.
The Aloft sign is up now. They just finished after sun down. It's not lit yet. I did night photos.
Maybe there's an end in sight to the "build that never ends". Have they contracted a restaurant operator yet?
Would be nice to see that huge parking lot under the bridge consolidated into a structured garage with a smaller footprint and maybe have an entertainment park/casual park with one part of it having a trail with a small pond(I mean something like a 30,000 gallon Coy pond or something) with a skate park and some other sporting activities there. Perhaps an outdoor archery range or something cool.
Whoa! Awesome shots Will.
Holy smokes, look at how great that building looks at night. And it's still relatively dark. Imagine that when it's open for business and all the interior lights are on.
Cool sign too.
They are obviously getting closer to finishing the outside, do we know how things are coming along on the inside?
Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but is the signage not going up under the roof overhang like in the rendering? I'm not saying I don't like it where it is, but I'm just a little confused. Is it going ground level on the east side, and up high on the west side?
It looks like there will be three aloft signs on the building, one at ground level by the covered area facing Walnut and two under the roof line on either end of the hotel facing east and west.
Too bad there isn't one facing South.
Different perspective on the progress at Aloft:
Wow, that is stunning
I wish we could see some views looking down 2nd with Level.
I agree, this hotel is wonderful looking. I 'only' wish it were 10 storeys so it would make an even better presence on the skyline (and since it is a nice building) but that is just the spoiled brat in me. lol.
Oklahoma City, the RENAISSANCE CITY!
I wish the blue form on top went all the way around and not just on the ends and the northern half because, as stated earlier, the south face is so bland, having light shining out on that blue form over the south portion of the hotel would be more of a beacon to me...from the interstates and what not.
Toured the site a couple weeks ago. Sign is coming. You know that's phase 3 stuff. Rooms looked 80% done. Event space looks AMAZING. So do the executive loft style suites. A mildly educated guess is that it opens march. Lighting looks amazing in person. Eye catching for blocks. Also the grade level restaurant layouts look killer.
Opening January 30th! A bird told me. https://www.starwoodhotels.com/prefe...ropertyID=3623
... a Great addition to This Town. My kind of place.
