Okay...I think it is time to lock this thread down since it is just silly to leave it open.

    I didn't notice that!

I never look at post #, but this sure is good to know that I hit the *Big Post* on this topic.

Or we could just keep it open and you could post all your weather threads in it, lol.

This thing will be over 200 pages before the end of 2012!

I would want to keep it open, but with the glitch the board not being able to shorten the page numbers at the bottom of the last post is crazy.

Pete, can you seek support to shorten those page numbers? Something like this...

    1 2 3 4 5 .... 37 38 39 40 41

It would make the layout look nicer.

Or we could just start a new thread when construction starts

^^^I like that idea! Sounds good! Only a few more months until the new thread starts!!

Congrats on your historical post # Tman. I say leave this thread open (no matter how trivial it gets) until the new construction thread opens. Even if its just for general discussion, excitement and hype. I was thinking the other night how in just one year the parking garage will be complete and groundwork will be well underway at the tower site. I cant wait.

As I've mentioned before, we'll start a new thread once construction is underway and transfer over some of the more relevant renderings and articles.

Looks like that will happen right around Oct. 1.

I like this view, but does any1 have a NW looking SE photoshopped rendering or view, like when your going back south on 44 west at the 44-39th junction-that view is my fav.of all views!

I'm like a proud parent - a thread I started has topped the 1,000 mark... Pete, do I get a prize?

Here they are... Note the new structure in the lower left of the first photo. That must be the proposed auditorium:

Is it really gonna be that sparkling?

I also noticed how much sunlight will be going thru in the 2nd pix. It sure look like a toasty building. What kind of glass are they going to be using?

I think that's one of the main reason's they're making it mostly glass. They're trying to be more "green", more enegy effecient... Bring in the natural sunlight!!!

I might be wrong, but I think the tower is in the wrong spot.. I think it's suppose to be a little bit more left... in between the current Devon tower and the Chase tower.

I don't agree. Because, in the picture with this POV, you're looking west south west. The Chase Tower is two blocks east, one block north of the site for the Devon Tower making the Devon Tower appear precisely as it is--behind and just to the right (practically directly west) of the Chase Tower. Its proximity to the Oklahoma Tower is just about perfect. If you move it, in your rendering, between the Chase Tower and the current Devon headquarters, it's going to be way too far away from the Oklahoma Tower--and you can't slide that too, lol.

I love how modern it looks. I hope this is the first of many more to come!

No, it's on the same North-South plane as Oklahoma Tower and it's practically on top of it. It definitely needs to come to the left, but not quite as far as Watson suggested.

LOVE that new rendering, btw!! WOW

Then, at least, its south edge should be just a little behind the northern most side of the Chase building. Glad we're in agreement. Still a pretty good pic! It's my desktop background at work ;-)
