I GUESS THESE PEOPLE HAVE TO GO TO CHURCH EVERY SUNDAY TO WASH AWAY THERE SINS AND START OVER AGAIN. Dont get me wrong here is some really good church goers out there in the world that dont judge everyone, some church goers though think god has sent them out after church service to judge people
All your points are valid. Maybe you should consider praying for your mother-in-law so she can understand that we are ALL sinners saved by God's grace, not our actions.

I'm not sure everyone would agree with you that we're ALL sinners saved by God's grace.

I don't think everyone is saved by God's grace.

What is the definition of saved?

Sin, Get Saved, Ask for Forgiveness, Sin, Get Saved, Ask for Forgiveness and do it all over again the next day?

    I don't get that.

If they were truly saved, why would they sin, ask for forgiveness and then just go out and do the same thing over and over? ie Sin, Hypocrisy, Lies etc?

I have some of the most amazing Christian friends that epitomize the idea of love, compassion and true Christianity and know of a few people who are wonderful, beautiful Christians...... but on the other hand, I've known some Christians that spew more lies, hatred and evil than all the Athiests I know put together.

At least the Athiests I know personally aren't sneaky hypocrites. But, I'm sure everyone has it in them regardless of religious beliefs.

To simplify, I think we should just try to be good people and treat each other well.

Karried, that's not the way Christianity works. You only get saved once. You still sin and you ask forgiveness. But, once you're a child of God, you're always one, just as once you're the son of your earthly father, you're always are. You sin and do bad things, and your earthly dad gets mad at you, and you have to ask forgiveness. But, you will still be your dad's son.

Christians are like anyone else. There are really good ones, and there are bad ones.

Would you like to share a story about those Christians that you've met that spew lies, hatred and evil? That's what this thread is all about.

It's the same old story, act all saintly, sin like the devil, treat people like crap, ask forgiveness, then do it all over again... like a broken record.

As much as I might like to share details, I won't. Because that would make me just as bad .. and I try not to be like that. It's not how I want to live my life.
