Not really because it works pretty well in Los Angeles. If you don’t feel safe or comfortable eating it then don’t eat there. The county health department is pretty strict on restaurants. They are a little bit more lax on a lot of the Mexican people who primarily are the ones that operate and sell food from these carts. Mostly they are hotdogs and Mexican street corn. And I’m here to tell you you are taking a risk by eating one but damn they are good after a game. Most of the time if I get one it’s because I’m working at the game for whatever job I can get. And I’ve worked for them as well. No vending license or inspections or anything. It’s a little sketchy, but it works. Only time I’ve ever gotten sick for eating a hot dog was at the Chinese Theatre.
I’m not trying to diss anyone here, but it’s just very interesting to see this thread on OKCTalk. When I lived in Oklahoma City, I never really noticed street vendors that often. But the more I travel the more it just became normal and I never really thought about it much. My personal opinion when it comes to this is eat at your own risk. It’s just like going in the Hong Kong in Tijuana.
Congrats to whomever turned them in. Sad I wasn't able to get a dog on the way home last night
Hmmmm. I wonder if he was adding 3 1/2% to his credit card or debit card transactions. You probably wouldn't have made it home if you had got one.
lol. If someone is selling street meat without permits at a high profile, heavily trafficked event in a city center, no one has to turn them in.
