I just saw a report on KFOR that the university announced that he had been released from the team. It didn't mention if he was also expelled from the university.

Gundy needs to go next. The reality is that OSU is a program that came out of a massive NCAA investigation looking pretty good, and has now kicked off a potential future Heisman in a Florida State-kinda way. The media will construe this as OSU, no not Ohio but the Dirty Game one, had their star player nearly kill his expecting girlfriend. Then cut to a segment on the awesomeness of Florida State.
I hate getting overly attached to a team because you will be let down. Just look at my avatar and signature lol...
Peace out Tyreek.
What are you talking about? Winston brutally raped at least one woman and hasn't missed a game for it in two years. Mixon is just taking a year off for caving a girls face in who took offense for Mixon calling her friend a ***got. Gundy actually got rid of Hill. The outlier doing the right thing is OSU.
I am just spelling out how this will play out in the media, which will be heavily influenced by our track record with big stories lately... Dirty Game, Gundy issues, Marcus Smart, NCAA investigation, etc.
I agree that Florida State is the most egregious case right now, that's why I was drawing the comparison between Tyreek and Jameis.
As for OU, according to a lot of Sooner fans the real victim is Mixon who just gave that helpless girl the bashing she deserved for objecting to an offensive slur for gay people. Which is fine because that's typical of their program and fanbase which can choose to embody whatever values they want...

I think the focus needs to be on Gundy skating on thin ice, so I am just going to stick to criticizing my own school.
The question posed to me was why not just focus on the good Gundy has done with this situation and complain about Florida State and Oklahoma, and the point I am making is that there is a double standard for the largest programs that's not even worth fighting against, just accept it and move on, and let fanbases regulate themselves. Everyone in the nation already has an opinion of FSU and OU, and that's not my problem.
As for Gundy, the evidence is still mounting that he needs to go. I just hope that the OSU fanbase isn't so misguided that they'll let Gundy off the hook just bc some stupid kid ran a kick back. The reason Gundy gets testy when asked about personnel decisions is because he reliably makes bad decisions regardless of whether it's a coaching hire, quarterback decision, character call, etc.
At least one coach in Oklahoma has no question what to do with players who beat on women...
Sooo hopefully we can still hire a good OC?
