Lol
Undoubtedly every item in Whole Foods will be made or produced by an Oklahoma owned company within the state limits.
Methinks metro got MIO and Keep It Local OK crossed.
Opening a week from tomorrow:

Wow.. I would HATE to be a stocker in a brand new store like this..
I don't know, while keeping selves stocked could be a challenge on the other hand, if the shelf is empty don't have to waste time rotating old product to the front (FIFO)
5 more days! Can't wait!
I'll be there!
Peeked in just a few hours ago. I like the fact it's not "fancy" and you can tell they've gone out of their way to be the anti-Whole Foods. Don't get me wrong, it's going to be a very nice store, but it has a look that says "true fresh market" as opposed to a slick newly built supermarket. A very "cool" vibe if you ask me.
Sunflower and Sprouts are both purposefully designed to be "less than" Whole Foods in design and price, it just seems to be the modus operandi of both companies, kind of the anti-WF as you stated. Whole Foods for the most part are designed to be "destination stores" whereas the others are meant to be grocery stores. I think that both Sunflower and Sprouts expect to have more smaller stores than compared to Whole Foods, right now they have the same number of stores here as Whole Foods (2). I do know that Whole Foods is moving away some from the 80,000 sf megastore concept although the new one that just started construction in The Domain is still going to be an 80,000 sf location as a replacement for the 35,000 sf Gateway store, it was planned to be that large before the 2008 economic crash. They are supposed to open up three more locations in Austin but those will be in the 35,000-40,000 size range including one in South Austin, the closest one to us now is the Downtown HQ store.
The Sunflower by my house was an old smaller, Safeway store many, many years ago similar in size to the former Safeway/CompUSA in OKC that they are moving into. My wife said that after Safeway exited this part of the country it was an Appletree grocery store, when that closed it was a Hobby Lobby store until they moved that store to the newly built Southpark Meadows in Far South Austin a few years ago. Sprout's moved into a former CompUSA in Sunset Valley.
Saw the Sunflower ad in this mornings paper. 7am tomorrow!
Hmm, thought I saw a rather small banner saying "Now Open" yesterday (Monday) when I was in the area?? The banner I saw was to the right of their main entrance signage?? Meant to swing by there later but completely forgot, if back that way today will check again.
They had a "Friends and Family/VIP Nite" last nite. . .nice pics are on their FB site. Anyone here get invited? If I'd had known, I might have crashed the party (just kidding. . .but sure wish I could have gone!)
We did get to preview and shop last night. The store should be a very popular addition to the city.
