The earliest possible start for round 2 is next Saturday so they will get at least a one week break and it could be as much as a week and a half.

Here's how having a team impacts the city. This is a comment from someone from another city on another website:

"Seriously you guys are the greatest fans ever. Between the team, you guys and the Flaming Lips it makes me almost wish I lived there."

We will keep some of our young adults who would otherwise have moved to a bigger city because of the Thunder. We will make move here an option that otherwise wouldn't have been considered by some. This is one of the intangible benefits we were talking about before the team got here.

The Thunder would have beaten the Mavs in the Western Conference Finals last year if they had gotten the same officiating they got this year against the Mavs. Last year, Dirk would drop his shoulder and head, lean forward to make contact, then step back and shoot. Last year, that contact was called a foul on the Thunder every time. That is why Dirk had 48 points and 24 free throws in game 1.

Any word on Perkins condition?

We took care of the Mavericks who beat us in the Western Conference finals last season (2010-11) and now it's payback to the Lakers; they ousted us in the first round of the 2009-10 playoffs.

We all remember how jubilant Pao Gasol was with that rebound and put back which led to the Lakers' victory over the Thunder in Oklahoma City's first taste of the playoffs.

Thunder update: MRI confirms Kendrick Perkins suffered right hip muscle strain. Return will be based on progress/recovery in coming days.
