We need new photos of all the work at ground level.
I'm sure much has changed in the last week as they are rushing to be open in just a couple of weeks.
Things have come full circle on the webcam.
(sung to the tune of Red Solo Cup)
Little white van
I am a fan
Let's see the webcam, let's see the webcam!
I love you little white van
You're dear to this man
You're back on webcam, you're back on webcam!
Sorry, but I was bored...lol.
Well, since there were no updates, I thought I'd pay homage to the fact that the white van is back on the webcam. It's been over a year and I know some are nostalgic about it.
It's so strange to think back to how "exciting" it was to see columns going up for the parking garage expansion. Given the scale of this project, it's amazing how quickly it all came together.

why do the city place tower and the first national center look so short when the first national center is actually taller than the chase if you include the antenna? The city place tower is 134 meters tall and devons tower is 258 meters but yet devon looks way more than twice as tall as city place.
It is because only 20% of City Place and FNC stick up out of the urban fabric of downtown while nearly 100% of Devon does.
The reason Devon looks so much taller is that in photos or just about any perspective you can't see all the way to the ground.
You aren't seeing the full buildings, you are only seeing the top 2/3rds or so.
Most of the northern half of downtown slopes downhill towards the south.
Chase (Cotter, whatever) is also much closer to the camera in all of those photos. Vanishing perspective is tricking your eye.
Anybody else notice that the banner finally reflects a mostly completed Devon Tower?
Pete, any way you could post the past banners chronologically since the announcement?
Will did that new banner and has been doing them for the last couple of years.
Glad y'all said something. My cache was still feeding me an old banner.
Mine too!
Let is be a surprise this time....
I just shot over 250 photos at the construction site... look for it soon.
Can't wait Will!
And thanks again for the banners over the years.
By the way, they've started on the decorative wall at the entrance that will probably have the Devon Energy name and logo on it.
Anyone want to go back to the last one?
