Thread: OKC Thunder 2014 - 2015

Sounds like they're fitting Lopez for an OKC Jersey right now.

Potentially holding it up, is Brooklyn wants to also rid of Jarret Jack at same time. That would actually be huge for OKC, to get JJ and Lopez. However, this will likely mean others are packaged with Reggie. Potentially Perk and PJ3.

    Salary doesn't jive: $22,019,062 combined:

    Brook Lopez $15,719,062
    Jerret Jack $6,300,000

Don't see fruition unless a three team trade in which someone picks up Jack.

Have fun Reggie! Westbrook tweet today made it pretty clear he needed to be gone.

Good move by Thunder instead of Brook Lopez.

We will see Perkins on Sat, Mar 28 @ Utah 9:00 PM

Detroit Pistons in Eastern Conference, we won't see them until next season.

Totally agree with you on Kanter over Lopez - lots of upside, good offensive game, Lopez injury prone and would only be good for a year on the contract front. Like it. Singler can shoot if we really got him - assume he'd come in to play 3 for KD. This is pretty big day for Thunder. Also getting Augistine and Steve Novak.

    Did you mean:

    D. J. Augustin - $3,000,000, Durant wanted this guy.

    Presti pulled a hat trick...

YES! Way too much action to spell names correctly! ha. Good deal for $3 mill a year. Pass first guy. Like it!

Presti made a haul. Our roster isn't big enough, someone will have to be waived.

Ish Smith and Perry Jones will be bought out from what I heard during all the wild activity at the deadline.

I agree Sam P did some work! And Thunder actually play a game tonight! Pretty emotional day for some of those guys with Perk being dealt.

Morning? Most of the trades happened in the last 20 minutes of the deadline. Unless you wake up at noon, noway this is morning!

That's an incredible haul for OKC. Even Traber likes it.

What a haul for OKC. Built their bench (Augustin, Novak, Singler, Kanter) for a guy they couldn't re-sign & a guy that wasn't in future.

    D. J. Augustin, a tailored fit for the Thunder.

Augustin (true point guard) will fill Jackson's shoes.

Whereas Perk tweeted to Thank OKC for treating is family like family. Guess who is going to get a nice reception when they come back here to play and who won't?

The Jazz are sending Kanter and Novak to Oklahoma City in return for Kendrick Perkins, Grant Jerrett, a first round pick, and the rights to international player Tibor Pleiss from Oklahoma City, and a second round pick from Detroit, Jazz general manager Dennis Lindsey confirmed Thursday on 1280 The Zone.

Tibor Pleiss to be immediately available for the Jazz?

We gave up the rights to Tibor Pleiss?

I don't usually get up until around 1300 and go to bed anywhere from 0200 to 0400. Yes, it beeped all of my morning.

This looks to be a lopsided trade in the Thunders favor. What am I missing here? Kantor will be in demand and will prob require a huge contract to keep. I assume that is the only negative, right?

I will miss Perk. He's a great teamate and a genuine person according to everything I have heard. But Kantor has much better upside.
