This is the first I've heard on the Broadway Extension. I wonder why I'm always the last to know when it comes to highways and roads...
Saw a dude out last night and his costume was the.Devon tower. Quite ingenious to be honest. I did take a pic. Just have to get it on here. Took him 20 hours to complete!
I just went all the way out SE OKC to a 24-Hour CVS Pharmacy to pick up a med. Drove back on 44th, stop at McD to get something at Shields intersection, then went north toward 23rd. Not planned...same street...same location, so I stopped for some night pictures. These are regular and enhanced, two of each.
I just hate street lights glare. Hopefully the next smartphone won't do that. It'll be at least one to two years before I upgrade again.
Is that blue light on Chesapeak Arena?
on edit - never mind, I see in the other thread that it is. Very cool.
We really need the other downtown towers to step it up in terms of lighting, especially when Devon unleashes it's megawatt light show in combination with the Myriad Gardens and the arena.
Chase Tower in particular needs to do something to move it out of the mid-70's.
Are they done with fire proofing the crown yet? Does anyone know for sure?
During the Sunday Night Football game last night, I noticed the skyline of Philadelphia when they showed it. Most of their towers just had a little strip of LED lighting around the top of each of them. Similar to how you put Christmas lights around the edge of your roof.
It was nice looking and something that would be easy to install. (compared to a complete lighting retrofit)

I love the way it looks like you can see through Devon. The first time I ever seen a picture of it from that view I thought I actually was looking through it.
Great shots! I love how the building has a translucent appearance as seen from the air.
Most pics from the ground when there are clouds in the sky make it look translucent also.
