    William,

I really appreciate and have enjoyed your videos over the past year or so. I don't know if you're a professional videographer or not, but you do an excellent job on your videos. Keep up the quality work in whatever you endeavor to do. Thanks for the memories of the Devon Tower construction...

Yes, thanks so very much Will! Especially for taking the trouble to get some good footage of the Colcord work.

Here are a couple of images that show more detail of the finished crown:

Is there going to be some sort of permanent crane(s) that will be used for window washing? How do they get from that catwalk to the top of the crown?

I was told by someone working on the building that a small utility crane would be on top. This will be used for window washing and if anything large needs to be lifted to the roof.

And overtime, as the ground compresses, it will be 843 and 1/2 feet, lol

Based on the image of the crown, are they planning to finish the interior of the crown nicely so that people can go up there at all? I guess I never heard that was part of the plan, but it almost looks that way with the railings around it. I could be totally off...

I was wondering the exact same thing cause it most certainly looks as if people will be able to go up there. Just like you said though, we may be totally off.

I didn't get the chance to take a bunch of pix cuz Taz was with me and mom didn't want to walk long including on the river. Maybe this week? I got a job someone is paying me to do first.

At first I didn't think so, then took a closer look at the details of the plan shown below...

They've added glass vestibules to the elevator, glass railings at each of the three indention overlooks, and on the one plan you can clearly see one of those areas labeled as "new metal observation deck".

Looks like it's going to be very cool!

In this roof plan, you can see the outline of a crane that is anchored in the middle and seems to have a telescoping boom:

Sweet! That's gonna be so cool!

So I guess there's going to be an observation deck after all? For restaurant patrons and employees at least.

When did Devon decide to add the observation deck during the construction? I sure hope it will be open to the public! Anyone know the specific opening date for the restaurants? I need to be the first to post such views!

Does anybody know the exact date that Devon surpassed the BOK Tower as Oklahoma's tallest skyscraper?

I just spent an hour looking for it and May 23rd was the day that the article came out about it but I seen a diagram that said May 17th and it was taller than BOK.

No one may ever truly know the exact date and time...even down to the millisecond. :-/

    Yes!

Not sure how how they will provide access but they are definitely building an observation deck on what is essentially the 53rd level, with glass railings on the top of each of the three indentions.

People will be able to walk about and take in the view at all three points.

From looking at the item on the Downtown Design Review agenda, it appears that they are installing an elevator from the mechanical room(52nd level) to the roof for access and it looks like it is for maintainance and not something that would be open to the general public
