We should be getting a bargain with our new MAPS 4 Multipurpose stadium - seating capacity - 12,300 - Construction cost $71 million.

Await the new renderings for our multipurpose stadium.
$71 million dollars is really not a lot of money compared to what KC invested in their stadium. Hopefully, it won't look cheap looking. The motto being, "you get what you pay for".

    Louisville is a better comparison

What was land cost in KC?

That is a perfect looking stadium for 11,500 seats. I ll take the same in OKC.
Roofs over the crowd and steep stands ! Can’t ask for more !

Energy FC Re: OKC Energy FC

As desperate as some of the construction companies are to obtain some of these contracts--wouldn't be surprised to see competitive bids result in a really
nice MAPS 4 Multipurpose Stadium. Wouldn't want OKC to repeat the mistake made when we built the original 19,300-seat downtown arena--with the seat
    and cup holder debacle.

12,300 represents the first two levels (60%) of this 20k stadium.

Just hope that by the time we get ready to build the stadium, the seating capacity increases from 12,300 to 20,000+ (Won't hold my breath).

I’m pulling for a seating capacity size consistent with demand, but preferably with some capacity expansion potential. The last thing we need to do is build a cavernous 20K stadium that will absolutely swallow the 5K-8K fans likely to show for games on a regular basis.

Understand your swallow concern: that's the conservative approach if the Funks were the owners.

Granted the USL Oklahoma City franchise will be the anchor tenant (they purchased the land); there's a possibility that a United Football League (UFL summer league) franchise may want to use the stadium. Rivals: Arlington Renegades, Birmingham Stallions, Houston Roughnecks, Memphis Showboats, San Antonio Brahmas and St. Louis Battlehawks.

Oklahoma City (1,477,926) is larger than Louisville (1,365,557), Memphis (1,335,674) , Salt Lake City (1,267,864) and Birmingham (1,184,290).

IDK if Echo has plans for MLS; however if a 20,000 seat stadium is too large for USL, you don't have to open all levels of the stadium for tickets holders. Option: Tarp off sections for advertising purposes eg: Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

My logic is to build the stadium to maximum capacity; an expansion (7,700 seats) will probably cost more than the original 20k stadium--OKC could lure more events (like outdoor concerts) to the stadium with more seating.

There is a survey for the stadium on their website: https://www.energyfc.com/

Took the survey. Looks like they are really trying to gauge what price point they should be at and the popularity of different seating options. I am sure if you enter your information fo the drawing...you will get a call from sales depending on your answers. Looks like they may have some decent higher end options that may be good for corporate night outs if they decide to offer that. Survey primarily focused on season ticket options

I took the survey and was surprised by how expensive the suggested tickets prices were !
Expensive for USL C and MLS for sure ! Even for European top soccer for that matter.
