Thread: Oklahoma Factory Shoppes - I40 & Council

The Saks outlets are pretty darn nice... They carry Armani, Hugo Boss and lots of other designers as well as a lot of their store-branded merchandise.

I live close to arguably the biggest and best factory outlet complex anywhere (virtually every top designer has a large store) yet I like Saks the best. If this store is anything like the one near me, it will be a significant addition to the OKC shopping scene.

Saks and Niemans and even Nordstrom tend not to have a lot of sale merchandise in their stores and prefer to use these types of outlets for their discounted items. As an example, pretty much all the suits in Saks Off Fifth are about half off MSRP with a decent selection of the higher-end brands.

I'm not recalling one, but does anyone else recall whether there is a Big/Tall store amongst the outlets.

Ima big guy, i shop at casual male XL and they told me last year there was plans to open a outlet casual xl in the west side of town, so I was thinking it should be in that outlet center unless plans changed

I was thinking the spot on Reno next to Priscilla's diagonally across from the outlet would be a good place for me to open up a big and tall. However, AFAIK, the names in the business are not franchises and I really don't know diddly about the clothing business. That place might be leased now too but there's still no sign up.

Both San Marcos and Round Rock outlet malls have the Casual Male XL store, I would think the one in OKC would as well.

Yeah, most of the merchandise in these stores are those items that didn't sell in their regular stores. You're right, mosts Saks, Nieman, and Norstrom stores don't have clearance racks. Their clearance racks are their outlet stores.

Never shopped at a Casual Male. I presume they go on up a few more X's on the front side of the L? I ask cause me and Gabriel, we could hang if I liked chocolate cake better (but I'd be the smaller cuter cousin, well, smaller anyway.

Not always, it just depends on the store, they aren't like the Dillard's Clearance Centers which really were just that. The Casual Male XL store has many of the same shirts that a regular store does. I bought a pair of jeans at the Polo Outlet in Round Rock last weekend, the same jeans that I bought at the Dillard's in The Domain a month ago for $15.00 less. For many items like that there is no "season" and so there is no seasonal changeover and many of the traditional clothing items are available at both the outlet and regular stores.

Casual Male XL has sizes up to 6XL, I buy shirts there or when Dillard's puts them on sale. I get the big & tall shirts but regular size pants, so I have to hit both sections in regular stores.

I bought a sport coat and dress shirt at Casual Male XL last weekend. I'd shop there more if the store had better variety.

Casual Male is opening up a Destination XL shop on NW expressway I believe this fall (and will be closing the Casual Male stores on expressway and 240)...

The Destination XL stores are AMAZINGLY big and loaded with product, a LOT more than the Casual Male stores...

Causal male xl sizes go from large to 5xl, the pants go up to size 72 inch waist i believe, they carry other stuff like large size shoes, also colognes and other accesories like ties and stuff, its a good place to shop if you are looking for a 2xl or a 3xl that acutally looks nice and trendy.. I like their vintage logo shirts

Any one here attend the job fair for this outlet mall? If so, what was the name person who's the director for this outlet mall? I'm trying to contact her. She was there at the job fair. If anyone remembers her, she was the lady who was standing outside the room for the job fair and was taking applications from people.

There are many, many more vehicles at this place now. Construction will really pick up now. 52 days until opening...they are cutting it close.

I wonder when the construction at Council and Reno will be complete.

Looks like things are coming together. I see landscaping materials and parking striping in places. Polo logos are visible in the glass of one area. If the tenant finishes are moving along they might make an August opening.

I'm not so sure about the street work. There's plenty to do, but per typical, not many working on it. When I came through there just now it looked like two men on machines at one corner when all for corners and other turnouts on Reno need work. That's a ridiculous lack of manpower considering the traffic that goes through that intersection now.

Nike sign is now up, sod grass and seedling trees planted. I'm surprised the center doesn't have their permanent signs up yet.

Obviously OKC should discourage new retail businesses because that would bring low wage jobs. LOL
