I even heard the name "BlueHawks" being considered. Can't say that I don't like that name but bringing back the 89ers in all blue would be my vote.

Which works out well because the dodgers were complaining about ABQ's high altitude messing with their pitchers coming into the bigs. Now ABQ doesn't have to worry about losing a team because of altitude as both Denver and ABQ sit a mile high.

Just as an aside, saw some tweets generally agreeing with this idea from Steve Lackmeyer (sp). Bonehead choice on their part, and I can't believe the people all excited over this because of a blue baseball cap with the letters "OKC" hot glued to the front.

I love it, but I'm also not from Oklahoma and really have no rich history here. I think it will be good though because the Dodgers are an easily recognizable brand and it may bring the quality of baseball played here up, maybe even put butts in seats.

I can understand why some people don't like the change, it seems the large majority is embracing it.

I guarantee you they'll sell way more merchandise than the Redhawks ever did. I don't recall ever seeing anyone wear the Redhawks gaer.
