Hey CO... you named the female Himalayan Calvin?
We have a 19-pound Tabby named Boo and a 13-pound Domestic Calico named Gracie... we don't seem to grow them small around this household!
We have a Leonburger and a rescue lab. The Leonburgers' name is Duncan, but we usually call him Dunker-do or Pooper Head! *LOL* The labs' name is Sadie, and we call her Sadie Lady or Sweety Pancake (don't ask where that came from) ha!
I have two dogs. A black cocker, Mandi and a Labradoodle, Jake. They are both great dogs and love kids.
I have a cocker spaniel named Dogbert, who acts like I directly inject caffeine into his veins, a ball python named Tim that doesn't do much of anything unless you're a mouse, a beta named Maxwell (he lives in an old coffee pot), and 'Cado, the avocado plant I grew after turning the rest of him into guacamole.
i HAVE 2 DOGS
BOSTON TERRIER 4 YEARS OLD HER NAME IS LIBBY DOO NO RELATION TO SCOOBY DOO.
AND A 9 WEEK OLD CHINESE PUG NAMED LUNA LOVEGOOD.
We have two Pembroke Welsh Corgies, Ein a 6 year old male, and Nani, an almost 5 year old female. We also have a gray striped kitty named Mara Jade.
Chigger the min pin......rescued puppy runt of litter no one wanted and the owner was going to put him down....Great little tyke
Cha-cha the Boston bull dog......again a rescue from the OKC shelter. We call her chacha because she does this little dance for food
Lucky the Siamese.......rescued as a kitten. CHewed up by a car fan.
Audie the mutt cat......daughter rescued her one cold wintry blustery day along side the road in MW City.
50 assorted chickens...........all hatched by my own little hands.
Hi Everyone !
Love my pets
I have a poodle (tigger) a Bunny (Foo Foo) and 2 cockatiels ( Roady Joe & Tookie ).
Our bunny is the talk of the neighborhood since she runs freely in the back yard ( and has for 3 years now) never fails when we get new neighbors they come to inform me i have a rabbit in my backyard LOL
My user name is a clue.
I have 3 Golden Retrievers. Willow, Hickory, and Holly
Those retreivers are darling. Thanks for posting a picture.
I have 3 felines, one a cat and two a kitten. Fuzzy, Smokey, and Stormy.
I have 1 bunny, Furrball. I also have 1 not named Betta.
I have 1 doggy that lives with mom.
One cat named Stinky. Nicknames include Stinker-Dinkers, Twinkers, Goofer-Doofers, Stinky-Dinky, Napper-Dapper and any others that I think up after a long night of drinking.
Believe it or not he's pretty well adjusted.
Currently we have two cats. Indy a 10year old female and Levi a 4 year old male. I use to have a bulldog named Toro (rip), and would love to get another one. I got (inherited?) a cat (Cocoa-puff)(also rip) when my father passed away a few years back and actually got to enjoy cats more than I thought I would. Hence Indy and Levi. Indys' nickname I can't mention online, and Levi we call the "lil monster" Indys nickname is because of her reaction to the "lil monster". I tried to post pics but either I'm stupid or the cold medicine I'm taking is affecting my pc skills. I'll try again later.
I have a question for any cat owners ( I mean servants) Has anyone ever heard of feline redirected aggression disorder? Levi has atacked me twice, the first time while sitting in a window sill and became over stimulted by other outside animals. The second time I was carrying him past a slider and he used me as a launch platform shredding my hand and chest. I looked like something from a horror movie after that. He's really a very good cat but can't seem to control his animal instincts. And I don't believe in de-clawing cats. Anyone know how to eliminate this reaction?
I am not against owning pets.
And thank you for adopting pets from the shelter.
But more the 2 dogs is a bit much within the citylimits.
A friend of mine is next door to a woman, notice I didn't say lady, whose now divorce and seems to hate all men, which is fine with me.
But her dog-a black and white barker, nevers shuts up.
her other dogs 2 are quite and really friendly, and theres a smaller bait dog, that barks only when the previous mention dog does.Anyways to explain my bait dog comment, I have always owned Rotties.
But my friend has a basset and beagle dog, whose so sweet and adorable.
His name is Buddy.
One of our spayed females does the same thing. She is normally a very sweet girl who chortles conversationally to me as I'm walking around the house. But she does not like other cats and has pulled the same launching move off of me.
I'm not sure you can do anything to control the cat behavior, so I've learned to alter my actions. I will love on her, pet her or brush her, but I will not pick her up unless I scoop her up in a towel.
Cats do not learn lessons. Cat-loving humans adapt.
We have 13 - 9 feral. If anyone knows of a no-kill shelter that accepts feral cats from Midwest City, please send me a message!
I've got to do something with these cats, as 5 are tiny kittens (6 weeks old, max) with no mother - she was killed this morning. They can eat food, but they need to be somewhere else!
13 cats! Okay...now I don't feel so bad. lol We have two cats of our own, a Himalaya named Miss and a tabby named Mister. We've also inherited my mother-in-law's cat. He's a one-eyed black and white cat named Joe. We only have one dog. She's a Red Heeler named Hoochie Girl. For what it's worth, I didn't name any of these pets. With the exception of Joe, these were all my wife's pets before we got married.
I've posted about my girls, before, but I've got two samoyeds, Jezebel and Evelyn. Jezebel has melanoma, a very deadly cancer. She is currently in the fight of her life but doesn't know she is sick, thank goodness. She has had surgery, radiation therapy (her muzzle hair fell out) and is taking a new vaccine that has had good results for some dogs. A couple of years ago, the median time of survival from diagnosis was 5 months. With the vaccine, for the dogs it helps, it is up to 1.5 years. We don't know if she is one of the lucky ones or not, yet. So far so good.
I respectfully disagree. Levi knows what "no", "up", "down", "out", "dinner", "play" and "nht...nht" (clicking sound made with tongue, sorry I didn't know how to spell it) mean. Along with several other words. He knows if hes bad he has to go out to the garage, he knows if he stops in front of me he'll probably get tripped over, and he knows hes not supposed to bring me a roll of shredded toilet paper as an offering in the middle of the night. (which he still does) I think cats just have alot of independence and choose to either learn what suits them the best or amuse themselves watching me try to get them to do what I want. And yes cat loving humans adapt, like I have.... I now know not to approach him when hes excited.... that just means my cats are training me.

Sorry to hear about the mother cat, now I'm bummed. The only shelter I've dealt with is in Yukon nav.jpg Thats where we got Indy. Its a great orginization and I'm sure its a no-kill shelter. Sorry I can't take in one of the kittens, but I'd probably need a shelter if I did. I'll ask around if anyone needs a pet. ...... Thanks Lauri and good luck
