What was BAROKC?
What was BAROKC?
well if you dont like the coyote ugly scene you might like there clothing they sell at the front, my wife has a couple shirts they are designed really nice plus it will probably have the okc name on it..
Anyone know if this bar is still coming to bricktown??
yes, as the original post says, in March 2009
Confirmed.
After a little bit of research, I found this: Coyote Ugly Saloon News
It'll be here in March. And ladies, check out their dates for dancer/bartender tryouts! ;-)
There's also a pretty cute movie. See Coyote Ugly (2000)
Might be too exiting for an old guy like me, though. Maybe I'll peek in the window ...
Yeah Doug, we know that you will be a regular! I loved the one in San Antonio. We hung out there all weekend when OSU played in the Alamo Bowl.
I will be hosting pre-tryouts for the ladies at a private location, just email me for more info.
Steve has a "Coyote Ugly" update on his blog.

That's just great, leave it to Oklahoma Liquor laws to screw things up... come on!
I didn't care for the one in Vegas but I'm looking forward to the one coming here.
" You've Been Thunder Struck ! "
I doubt it's the liquor laws, I took it as getting permits, etc. They wouldn't need any sort of special license over any other bar/club that is already down there. It's probably just an excuse to hold tight and see how much worse the economy is going to get. Who knows....
If I read correctly, the hangup is investors not turning in documents timely. probably background type checkeroos. Silly investors.
Any updates on this one? The Piano Bar is open, the other one in the old Varsity space it open...
Looks like the opening date is June 24th. There will be a "Coyote Search" June 13-14. Here is the link to the website:

There's a Lackmeyer article on this in today's Oklahoman. Not much new information. Projected open is still June 24. Not sure if he's in a better mood today or not, so I'll leave it up to you to find it, if you're interested. ; )
I'm in a better mood today, but I'd still prefer getting the same courtesy given to bloggers - copy and paste just a portion of my story and link for the full read.
Thanks for humoring me yesterday. The same online person directly and indirectly had gotten under my skin too many times in a short period of time. It's like having someone out there constantly saying to your face and behind your back that you're a terrible cook or you've got a horrible restaurant and then coming to you constantly for a free lunch.

BDP is right - they weren't giving out a lot of new information. I'd say the news boiled down to the audition dates, opening and the fact the founder, who is sort of a celebrity, will be in town next month.
Ya know, Steve. You seem like a nice guy. And I respect your line of work. I'm going to make a point to click on an ad at NewsOK each time I read an article linked from OKCTalk.
Thanks Luke. I'm far from perfect, and I usually know it, any my wife (and this board) are quick to remind me if I forget. I really do like this site, all moaning and complaining of late aside.
Looking forward to seeing the Coyotes ... remember not to order water (if you saw the movie, you'll know what I'm talking about).
Totally understand.I'd still prefer getting the same courtesy given to bloggers - copy and paste just a portion of my story and link for the full read.
