I have an interview with "tuck" on my latest OKC Central video at OKC Central. It includes a history on the Myriad Gardens. I really appreciated his visiting with me about his career and the challenges facing independent restaurant operators.
Hi, everyone! I am going to Red Prime on Friday for a first date. I am kinda wondering what to wear. Do y'all think I'd be okay in jeans? Not much of a dresser upper...
Celebrated soon addition to family by taking wife to Red Prime on Sat. night. Had trouble with flowers ordered thru florist... Red Prime took initiative and made sure flowers were waiting in booth #7 for the wife. Everything was fantastic... food (Kobe skirt steak at top of list), service, atmosphere... they basically did everything they could to make the night special for my wife and I. We'll be back to our new favorite restaurant... thanks Tuck!
As tuck said, you can wear jeans, but I'd wear a nice shirt or jacket. I've eaten there plenty of times with nice jeans and an nice shirt and/or jacket. Not that tuck and crew won't welcome you, but it is a higher end place. Also, hopefully this will be the best steak you've ever eaten in your life. I highly recommend the Filet with Peppercorn Crust and Truffle Butter, cooked medium.
Thanks for the advice! I will definitely try to look nice, I'm just a jean girl.
Honestly, I don't know his last name. The reservations are at 7:30 and his first name is Greg.
I'm weird about crust and sauces on my steak but I may try it since everyone's been raving. It was insulting to my grandpa (a cattleman) to put any sauce on a steak so now I still have a hard time with it! lol
That's a nice first date. Might be a keeper!
No, anything less than medium rare should be illegal. Just kidding. LOL.
First date? You take a girl to RedPrime on the first date and she will expect it everytime. That guy is not starting things off very smartly...or frugally. Ha
So, how much did it cost ya?
Yeah, I think he's showing off a little...
Sheesh, guys, not all women think that it's going to be fancy restaurants and long-stemmed roses every time.
Still corrupting young minds
Classy.
Not a typical first date, and perhaps he is showing off a bit. Then again, perhaps the lass rightly deserves a bit of showing off.
Enjoy the eve.
Kevin, I like the way you think.
Well, I went, I ate, I blogged. Check it out...Okie in the know
