He just about ran Flint and Vast to the ground and helped get the Williams and Associates contract terminated as a result of gross mismanagement. He has grown a lot as a chef and person, but you are lying to yourself if you think his stint at Flint and Vast was anything but an abject failure. The entire original management and culinary team ****ed that place up for years. It is honestly amazing that it is still open as that concept, and they did not rebrand it after that ****show.

I just saw this comment and totally had more I can tell about the failure after the opening. I worked for the hotel during the closing of La Baguette and the transition over to the Williams and Assoc. group. It was one of the reasons I quit my job there and never really went back to Flint. That being said, I enjoyed the opening and learning about the creation of a restaurant. A few years back I went and they brought out a chicken breast that was not fully cooked and a burnt meatloaf. It is nice to see they changed it up and have brought the patio to life with a separate concept. I haven't been back yet to try the new concepts, but now I feel like I need to. Now that Coury Hospitality is back in control I am sure it will be great.

Great video by Discover Oklahoma about the James Beard nominees that have come out of Oklahoma. I wish it had more of the Tulsa scene added, but they made a great video.

This weekend I made it out to Broken Arrow to try NATV. It was really good and at a reasonable price. They had bison and the best fry bread I have ever had.
