boulder, will the garden wing restaurant be open to the public or will it just be a corporate cafeteria for Devon?

Well, I want a photo/video group for a walk/tour and I nominate UnFrSaKn to be the guide/leader. How about for this special event, he will not be carrying a camera. He will take us to locations while all of us take pix and videos. Then we post our material on here. Okay, lets pick a date.

Let's hope it's open to the public. Would love to have a great lunch place like that as an option.

Once the lighting is finished and the tower lights up like a neon sign the comments about the building (ya or nah) are really going to take off. It will give them more fuel for their fires.

Wish it wasn't lunch only, but I guess that's how a lot of the restaurants are in the CBD.

For those that did not see it in the past. Here is the LEGO version concealed behind plastic case, so I apologize for the camera quality.

As you can see by the above image, there are still four "levels" left to top out the tower. I'm not saying "stories", but "levels", to define remaining height. I believe that's 2 mechanical and 2 crown.

  13. Default Re: Devon Retail/ Restaurants

    Yep. Almost all of them.

You are correct SkyWestOKC. Yep I jumped on the "lake hefner breeze" guy a little hard and defended the devon tower little much too much. I want to apologize to everybody out there for "losing my cool." Hey OKCisOK4me, we are on the 50th floor right now, and then we have the 2 mechanical floors, then the crown. This is why i feel that the devon tower is going to be in between the 850-925 range. If the crown is 40ft (2 levels) then it will be around 870-880. If the crown is 60ft, then it will be around the 900-908 that has been talked about. The reason i say its going to be taller is because, if you keep adding floors without raising the height, then you would have no crown, which is part of the original architecture. So i believe it will be taller with what is still left to build. What do you think Pete, OKCisOK4me, everybody?

I agree, with you, that it will be taller than 850. I do not believe that 844 is the final height as discussed before. I think that was the difference between ground level and the level that the restaurant was going to be at. So with the other levels on top of that, yeah, it'll be taller than 850 (and that's fine by everyone on here).

We need someone to measure the height of the tower!

Yesir OKCisOK4me! That is a great point about the 844ft being where the restaurant floor from ground level is. That makes total sense.

    Thanks. :-)

I sat there laughing at how crooked the tower is. Then I was reading and laughed more that fireworks were hidden behind the beast. :-O

    Dear Spartan,

Stay in Oklahoma, United States of America and not anywhere else...especially not Europe. Keep your money within the local system.
