Thread: OKC Thunder 2014 - 2015

Yeah, after reading more details on the entire fracas and surrounding incidents, combined with looking at video from multiple angles, not sure Russ should have gotten either T. Both of the were iffy, and combined were a travesty. Len should have been tossed for swinging, and the Suns' behavior in general was pretty atrocious. Not a good night for the refs. Lucky thing for them that the Thunder won anyway.

Such a fun game. It was really impressive to see the arena full through the OT with New Years Eve just a couple hours away.
Actually I can see the second tech before I can see the first. The first tech was the fault of the refs. If they had blown the whistle and called a jump ball all that would have happened is, for the second time, we might have seen Westbrook out jump a 7 footer. But as it was, if Westbrook hadn't fallen back he would have been hit with a left hook.

    Characteristics of a Leader

Kevin Durant quickly came to the aid of little brother, kept his composure throughout the Westbrook-Len debacle; took control of the game in a closeout victory 136-134 OT over the Phoenix Suns. A key stat was the Thunder's improved performance at the charity stripe: 44-49 (89.8%).

Kevin Durant came ready to play. Just glad they didn't rush Durant thru his ankle sprain recovery.

    Total team effort:

    Durant 44 (40 minutes)
    Westbrook 20 (17 minutes)
    Morrow 11
    Jackson 10
    Adams 9
    Perkins 9
    Jones 8
Smith 8 (11 minutes of efficiency against his former team)
Roberson 3 (4 key offensive rebounds)

A very good win for the Thunder tonight over Washington, which is one of the best in the East. That's especially true since Washington has given OKC fits even when they were lousy. And the Thunder are now up to .500 for the first time this season.

Glad I made it. The Thunder is, IIRC, 5-1 in games I've attended this year.

So we should take up contributions to be sure you don't miss any more games?

Good sound close-out win for our Oklahoma City Thunder 109 Washington Wizards 102.

...Durant was the closer with a game high 34 points; 4-7 on three point shots--they were bombs he dropped on Washington D.C.

Special Kudos to The Energizer, Russell Westbrook & The Enforcer, Kendrick Perkins: Outstanding job without complaints; you guys took it on the chin & continued your tough play to make the Wizards pay.

Nick Collison, Reggie Jackson, Anthony Morrow & Perry Jones; they were the X-factors of the game with 10, 9, 8 & 7 points respectively.

Steven Adams & Andre Roberson kept the Wizard at bay on the defensive end.

    Revenge night in Oakland.

I am sure KD has watched the video of him getting hurt; looking forward to his 50-bomb tonight.

Now it's said that Jackson isn't being traded. This is going to be interesting.

Why would you keep a player who doesn't want to be here? Jackson will get his wish; let's wish him the best...

I guess if he wants to start for a losing team rather than be back-up for a winning team.... more power to him.

But now they are saying he isn't part of this deal. Cavs aren't going to just give us a player for nothing. I'm confused.

Well, Reggie Jackson is better than Dion Waiters. So I'm glad that's not who Waiters was traded for.

Now sources are saying we are getting him for a 'future protected first round pick'.

Looks like the Thunder gave up Lance Thomas and a future protected first round pick for Dion Waiters. Finalized details should come out after our game tonight.

I'm not a fan of Dion Waiters. He's an inefficient ballhog and a headcase, but I'm guessing the Thunder are hoping their team culture can turn him around. He definitely has some skills.

The reason OKC should keep Reggie is because he is valuable and will help the team win games. I don't care if Reggie doesn't want to be here. He'll be a professional when it comes down to it. I hope OKC resigns him and then they can decide later whether to trade him or keep him.

So glad the Reggie/Waiters rumors were wrong. That would have been a disaster.

    Speculation is running wild:

Everyone calm down about #KD2DC: Reggie Jackson isn?t being traded right now - The Washington Post

Early versions of Monday’s reported trade of Cleveland’s Dion Waiters to Oklahoma City had Wizards fans salivating...

The Thunder ownership anticipates (2016) what it will take to keep Kevin Durant & Company in Oklahoma City.

Guess I spoke too soon. KD is fieldgoal-less nearly at halftime. Warriors pouring it on.

Some nights you'll get your butt kicked by someone who stole your shoes; stick your tail between your legs and come home. We'll have another home crack at the Warriors.

Thunder had a night of Murphy's law; "whatever can go wrong, will go wrong."

Thunder really making it hard for themselves to make the playoffs. Like, really really hard.

Terrible losses, but no need to panic just yet. There's a lot of the season left to be played, but obviously the margin for error is a lot thinner than normal.

Suns are putting together some decent win streaks. It is not going to be easy catching them with us shooting our own feet so often.

No panic mode yet, but we need to string together a nice 5-10 win streak to make up some ground. Spurs are also struggling. Crazy how opposite this season is to last, instead of SAS and OKC battling for 1 and 2, both are battling for 7 and 8.
