i am so looking forward to fallout 4...
Fallout 4 will probably be in game of the year contention with the Witcher 3 and the new Metal Gear Solid. I bet Gabe Newell is foaming at the mouth just thinking of all the 17 dollar cuts they are going to get from each sale.
MGS 5 is awesome. It is overwhelming for the first part of the game. So much to do. I think I have played it for 30+ hours so far and only have 16% completion. But once you figure out have everything works and opertates its one of the most in debth and detailed games I have ever played. Hopefully I will be done before Fallout comes out. Can't wait for that either.
I think I'm the only person that doesn't really care about Fallout, eh oh well.
Fallout 3 and New Vegas were amazing. Can't wait for 4.
what system are you guys going to play it on? I think I am going to stick with my PC roots on this one. Hotkeys and the flow of keyboard and mouse just seem to work better than a controller.
PC of course, I don't even own a potato.
PC. for the mods of course.

Just preordered Fallout 4 and season pass on Steam. Looking forward to Nov 11. Hopefully the game wont be riddled with bugs that has become almost comical with the line of games that Bethesda makes.
That being said I just finished MGS5. It was really good. But reallllllly long and almost too much to do. Worth playing though.
I am playing an indie game right now called SOMA. It from the people who made the Amnesia games. Highly recommend if you like creepy games with no fighting.
Why not have the best of both worlds and play it on a pc using a 360 controller?
Anyways seems like most{not all} games are getting bigger and bigger and 30 GB is about standard nowadays give or take a bit. Hopefully prices on SSDs keep dropping. Just upgraded the AMD processor to an i7-4790K and there is no comparison whatsoever in general computational tasks as well as gaming. Back on the subject of Bethesda they do quality titles but bug wise sometimes they leave a bit to be desired. The only title I enjoyed that was relatively bug free with no mods was what I consider to be there best title Morrowind.
In regards to Fallout 4, Green Man Gaming has a 22% off coupon which expires Friday btw which puts the game at around 46 USD. They are a reputable site which I have used several times with no problems.

well... i splurged and built this machine so I could play fallout 4 when it comes out. my last pc was about 4-5 years old and it didn't look like it was up for the task. (that's the excuse I keep telling myself at least) given tonight's weather, i think i'll ditch a halloween party and get either gta 5 or witcher 3 (they're both on sale on steam!) -M
I've been thinking about upgrading my PC. It's been 4 years since it was built.
I can still play Skyrim on Ultra without issue, so I may not need to upgrade every piece of hardware. Not sure I want to spend that much yet though. If I think I'll play Fallout 4 casually, I'll just get it for the PS4 instead.
Fallout 4 today! I booted up steam and started the download this morning so it will good to go when I get home this evening
same! fired it up this morning after applying the day 1 update... it's waiting for me when i leave the office! can't wait! -M
It has an FPS issue on PC... The framerate is tied to gamespeed. What a big no no.
So everyone needs to cap their FPS at 60 to make sure you don't get any issues. I ran it at 144FPS on my 144 monitor and you can't lockpick or leave a terminal as it moves so fast.
I locked my fps at 60 with GeForce Experience.
As someone who has been a victim of a Bethesda product before, I won't be picking up FO4 for a number of months. And by then I'll have decided how much time I'll be putting in, which will allow me to choose between PC/PS4.
I built a rig too. Lots like Martin's.. everything runs super on Ultra. I would suggest one change though--a solid state drive. Sooo much faster.
i did that for the primary... a 500gb samsung evo. the 6tb hdd is for storage. while the ssd uses the newer m.2 form factor, i didn't spring for one that uses the pci express bus. i didn't want anything less than 500gb, but wasn't willing to shell out around $400 for it. -M
you're all set then.
