Just got back from shooting video today. Naturally, the wind makes it a pain to get steady shots and annoying noise in the microphone. Not really happy with it, since I've shot from about every angle I can find and it doesn't look much different than a month ago. I did get some shots at the I-35 construction site and a few in Bricktown. I managed to get stuck in some kind of military event in Bricktown, with a lot of men and women in fatigues. Total gridlock. It's my own fault though I guess.
I've never shot on different days and combined them. I want to wait until it's officially taller than Chase and go back on another day before I finish it. Next week perhaps.
Speaking of
the corner near The Lunch Box... every single time I stop at that corner across from the construction site, I get some person who feels the need to stop me and talk. Not your normal curious person asking questions, no. Last month some old man asked me, "Hey young man..." and asked for money. Do these guys ask all the construction workers for money too? He didn't ask anyone else and walked off. Today, this guy walks out of the Hotel Black there and asked me, "Do they pay you to record this?" I said no. Then he asked me if I like to breakdance. WTF?! I said "nope". "What kind of motherf*cker don't like to breakdance?!" He said something about even people in China breakdance or some nonsense and I pretend like he's not there and walks off. It's always the same kind of people who hang around there and don't have a life. People in suits and construction workers mind their own business. Let it be a warning to you.
By the way, during the summer when I shot that one night time video, was actually the first time I was asked for money. It was dark and kind of spooked me because no one was around. I'm almost certain it was that same guy. Beware.
