My dad and I were paired up with him at Hook 'N Slice for a round of golf one time, I was probably around 11 or 12 at the time. He seemed like a pretty nice guy.

You are correct sir! His name was Scotty and he was the Foreman of the
Circle 4 Ranch.

Trivia for all. How did Steve Powell, I mean, Foreman Scotty wear his

Near 2:10 Danny talks about how he made $10 for appearing at birthdays
in the 50's! Wow! Ed Birchall, whom I believe to be the greater star, only
got $8 and that was in 1962! I know because that's how much he told
Dad to write the check for.

My only personal contact with Danny was when he came to my fraternity at OU in the late 60's. It was in connection with an event we held called the "Mod Bod Contest". Basically it was coeds in bikinis doing body painting on sheets on our lawn. (It seemed like a great idea at the time, LOL). I'm not going to speak ill of him but, as I mentioned earlier, I was never a fan.

I used to watch him on Saturday mornings when he was on Foreman Scotty's show, the circle 4 ranch and all. I did speak to Danny once on the phone a few years ago, when he was over at KOMA. We had a longer conversation then we should have, he told me he really wanted to talk more, but he had a show to do, and asked me to call back after the show and he'd meet up with me somewhere. Well, I got busy and totally forgot all about it. Needless to say, I never met up with him, and now its one of my biggest regrets.
