Well, we all know that things take longer than we are told in the restaurant industry, so I am not going to hold them to it for 90 days or 2-4 months. It will be good once they re-open to see what's going on and if they improve on the standards.

Turns out the fire was caused by faulty wiring in one of their signs. The turnaround is still supposed to be 90 days, but it is terrible timing for them with a lot of workers busy now with repairs from the storm.
Will that be covered by insurance? Imagine that any damage that happened after the fire (like rain/water damage from storms much less fire fighting) wouldn't be covered if the electrical caused it first????
Anyone have any good pictures?
Can anyone explain how lost revenue due to a loss like this is insured?
Are you referencing the owners or employees? The owners while losing revenue are also not having to pay wages or other costs associated with running the business while the employees have no offsets. If this eatery is under Hal Smith or another ownership group, revenue is still coming in from other properties. I doubt they are turning up the thermostat or car pooling.
Insurance covers everything....revenue, wages, rebuilding costs.
$400,000 building permit issued today to remodel this space.
Excellent to hear...recall Loves promising to rebuild quickly after a tornado took out one of their locations somewhere towards Shawnee quite a while back and drove by there a couple of weeks ago and still nothing.
That may be, but it makes Loves look bad...they need to do some PR on it.
Or atleast clean up your mess. The dumpsters are still sitting on the lot. If you are not going to or are going to wait 3 years, atleast clean up so some of us dont have to look at your trash everyday as we drive to our places that we work hard to keep nice.
I agree with you.
I am assuming that you are fortunate enough to be referring to "Officing/Restauranting on The Lake" rather than way out there on the edge of The Urban Sprawl of Eastern Oklahoma County, so I could be wrong.
I think there must be some sort of "Civic Minded" regulation that provides a workable timeframe for work of this nature to commence. Regardless of actual location. With appropriate fines for non-compliance.
Plus the parking is already a bit "scarce"--if you are referring to the lakeside location--and it is unfair to workers/potential customers to just allow dumpsters to sit there unfullfilled.
I am refering to both. Sadly i get to drive past both of these sites several times a week. I just think that businesses should be expected to be good neighbors and clean up after something like that. Most have insurance that pay for debris removal as part of the policy, use it and every one else will be happy to not look at your stuff.
Has anyone gotten or seen any pictures of the damage??
Try this link (has interior & exterior shots)

Larry, thanks for posting those. The damage was not as bad as I thought. Looks like the entire exterior aside from the roof is in tact and a decent portion of the interior was better than I expected. I see now why they said they would re open in 3 months.
I doubt they will put on another wood roof though!
Is this place open? I saw in the paper they are having a concert there this week.
